Trump supporters have been going door-to-door to question their neighbors about their voting habits in an apparent intimidation campaign.

Michelle Garcia, of Pueblo, Colorado, told NPR that two men knocked on her door last fall, and at first she assumed they were canvassing for a political candidate, but they instead told her they were "doing a voter verification project" related to the 2020 election.

'Public pressure works': USPS announces a major change of plans after backlash

Pressure from progressive advocacy groups and lawmakers bore fruit on Wednesday when the U.S. Postal Service announced that it would be making 40% of its new delivery vehicles electric, up from Postmaster General Louis DeJoy's initial plan to electrify just 10% of the mail agency's aging fleet.

"The agency's original plan for a fleet of 90% fossil fuel trucks should have never been a consideration."

Michigan Democrats push DOJ to investigate 11 GOP lawmakers for 'seditious conspiracy': report

On Wednesday, The Detroit News reported that Democratic state lawmakers in Michigan have introduced a resolution calling on the Justice Department to investigate 11 of their GOP counterparts for "seditious conspiracy."

"Sponsored by state Rep. Joe Tate, D-Detroit, the proposal is extremely unlikely to gain traction in the GOP-controlled House but underscores Democrats' beliefs that federal authorities should probe the actions that high-ranking Michigan Republicans took in the wake of Donald Trump's loss to Joe Biden," said the report. "Biden won Michigan by 154,000 votes or 3 percentage points, a result that's been upheld by a series of court rulings, more than 200 audits and an investigation by the Republican-run Michigan Senate's oversight committee. But some of the former president's supporters have maintained unproven claims that widespread fraud swung the race."

Larry Hogan of Maryland signaled on Wednesday that he opposed the gubernatorial candidate backed by Donald Trump, the latest escalation of a proxy war between the term-limited Republican governor and the former president," reported Ari Hawkins. "Hogan, whose exit from office represents one of the best pickup opportunities for Democrats in November, said that Trump 'selfishly colluded' with a Democratic funding group to back state Del. Dan Cox in a move that could cost Republicans a governorship this fall."

Third Georgia county conducts audit as MAGA distrust of elections grow

Republicans in Georgia keep going far out of their way to convince Donald Trump's MAGA base that there is a reason to vote in spite of his continued lies about massive election fraud.

"The elections board in rural Pickens County voted Tuesday to ask a judge to unseal ballots from this year’s primary, the latest attempt in heavily Republican areas to audit Georgia election results," The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Wednesday. "If a court agrees, election workers would conduct a hand count of over 7,600 ballots cast in Republican races for governor and secretary of state to check the accuracy of results tabulated by voting computers. Election board members said they sought the audit in response to residents who distrust Georgia’s election equipment, manufactured by Dominion Voting Systems, which uses touchscreens to print out paper ballots."

Some signs indicate a Republican sweep of Congress might not be inevitable

A new national poll suggests the midterm elections could end up being a lot tighter than Republicans are hoping for, and not the blowout that Democrats are fearing. Of course, the devil is in the details, and there’s nothing predictable regarding voter sentiments in a midterm election that pits urban against rural, abortion-rights versus forced birth, and pro-Trump versus pro-democracy, along with a heavy dose of unpleasant economic news. A New York Times/Siena College poll from July 5-7 found that barely a percentage point divides the two parties when it comes to preferences on congressional ...

'Tinfoil hat crazy': CNN's Toobin astonished by Trump's latest phone call to Wisconsin GOP leader

Former President Donald Trump called Wisconsin GOP Assembly Speaker Robin Vos just this month and urged him to decertify the results of the 2020 election, despite the fact that the state legislature does not have the power to overturn an election that happened nearly two years ago.

Reacting to this news, CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin expressed astonishment that the twice-impeached former president is still trying to get reinstated in the White House despite definitively losing to President Joe Biden in November 2020.
