Slur-spewing couple kicked off flight — and complain it's because they're Trump supporters

On Monday, Boing Boing reported on a viral TikTok video that shows a couple shouting racist and homophobic slurs being forced to deboard a flight in West Palm Beach, Florida — while shouting praise for billionaire Elon Musk and claiming they face discrimination for supporting former President Donald Trump.

"The woman cries 'free speech is dead!', gloats on the knowledge that her refusal to voluntarily deplane will result in the flight being delayed, then returns to muttering racist nonsense before delivering some impromptu praise for Elon Musk, 'the f**king king,'" reported Rob Beschizza. "The disquisition on free speech continues as she declares her intention to sue the other passengers for their grumbled criticisms. 'Hey, I guarantee I make more money than you buddy.'"

A federal judge has rejected efforts by the Republican National Committee (RNC) to keep its mass email marketing records from the House Select Committee investigating the deadly Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

The committee is seeking records held by business software company Salesforce in connection with its work with former President Donald Trump's 2020 reelection campaign to determine if Trump's fund-raising emails encouraged the violence of the mob that tried to prevent confirmation of Joe Biden as the duly-elected president, according to the Washington Post, which described the judge's ruling as a "thorough victory" for the January 6 committee.

Michael Cohen throws a wrench into Trump lawsuit defense -- and could prove he lied under oath

Any relief former President Donald Trump may have felt as a Manhattan grand jury closed out its session without a bill of indictment against the former president may be short-lived as another lawsuit comes back to life that could lead to perjury charges.

According to a report from the Daily Beast's Jose Pagliery and Lachlan Cartwright, the lawsuit stems from accusations that Trump, before he became president, ordered security at Trump Tower to assault demonstrators and that a key witness in the case is Trump's former attorney Michael Cohen.

Republicans preparing to join the 'cover-up club' before the Jan 6th committee subpoenas them: former prosecutor

As part of his "Justice Matters" YouTube series, former federal prosecutor Glenn Kirschner suggested Republican lawmakers who face possible subpoenas from the House select committee investigating the Jan 6th insurrection will likely become the latest members of the "cover-up club" dedicated to shielding Donald Trump.

With the Capitol riot hearings coming in June, Kirschner noted that leaked texts to and from former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows are more than enough reason to call for Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), Jim Jordan (R-OH_ and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), among others, before the committee.

There's a 'new boogeyman' freaking out Americans susceptible to conspiracy theories

Following birtherism, PizzaGate, QAnon, Great Replacement, and Donald Trump's delusions about election fraud, there is now a "new boogeyman" gaining traction.

"In late 2020, conspiracy theorists started telling everyone who’d listen about a sinister plot called the 'Great Reset.' The global elites of the World Economic Forum (WEF) had either co-opted or outright concocted the COVID-19 pandemic, they falsely claimed. Then world leaders and technocrats, almost all of whom are supposedly active agents or compromised puppets of the Forum, adopted what conspiracists see as senseless and draconian policies, like lockdowns, ostensibly to curb the spread of the virus—but really to destabilize and traumatize the globe," Mark Hay reported for The Daily Beast.
