Historian John Flannery warns 'it could be worse' for Fox if the jury agrees with Dominion

Fox and Dominion were in negotiations on Monday, according to several media reports, saying that there have been attempts for a possible settlement. Dominion Voting Systems appears willing to reduce the number in their demand and there were further conversations about how they arrived at that number, NPR reported.

But one major sticking point continues to be that the company wants an on-air apology to run across the Fox platforms. It would be an admission by Fox that they were intentionally reporting fake news.

An 85-year-old man has been charged over the shooting of Black teen Ralph Yarl.

Yarl was shot in the head on April 13. His family says he went to pick up his twin siblings when he knocked on the wrong door. The man on the other side of the door, Andrew Lester, allegedly opened fire through the glass, sending the 16-year-old falling to the ground and bleeding. The man then walked out of the broken door and allegedly shot the teen again.

DA Bragg's office requests further information from Trump lawyer after allegations of conflict

Adult film star Stormy Daniels' legal team filed a complaint last week against lawyer Joe Tacopina, who she says she approached months ago to possibly represent her as she became embroiled in allegations of hush money payments from former President Donald Trump. Tacopina now works for Trump, which Daniels' attorney said was a conflict of interest.

The conflict had been addressed by prosecutors during the Trump arraignment two weeks ago, before the official complaint was filed. They asked the judge to “conduct an inquiry at an appropriate time of both Mr. Tacopina and the defendant about potential conflict issues related to his prior dealings with Daniels.”

If the Fox lawsuit can't meet the standard for malicious defamation nothing can: Legal expert

The Dominion Voting Systems case against Fox is due to begin this week, and it's already been delayed to Tuesday instead of starting on Monday. It's unclear why, as the judge left a short message without much information.

Fox is using the excuse that the Supreme Court case New York Times Company v. Sullivan, also known as "the Sullivan ruling," protects them from litigation. MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan explained that it made cases like this very difficult to try and win.

MSNBC hosts call out 'painful' interviews by BBC and 60 Minutes reporters unprepared to fight against lies

MSNBC's Mehdi Hasan thinks the so-called "liberal media" has learned nothing from former PresidentDonald Trump's non-stop lies.

Sunday evening, the BBC had 20 minutes to prepare for an interview with Elon Musk, and the MSNBC reporters explained that the interviewer shouldn't have done it if he wasn't prepared. They argue it was a flop. A few weeks ago, Lesley Stahl was similarly criticized for being unwilling to fight back against lies told by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) during her "60 Minutes" interview.
