QAnon expert warns the right’s grooming panic is going to result in someone dying

Conspiracy expert Mike Rothschild warned on Wednesday that the "grooming" talk among conservative figures is going to lead to someone killing themselves or someone else.

Rothschild was responding to a screen capture of the Libs of TikToc page that claimed that the Trevor Project is a "grooming organization." The Trevor Project was an effort to help reduce suicides among LGBTQ+ youth with the "It Gets Better" campaign. Videos were posted from famous actors, musicians, community leaders and elected officials to youth telling them that being a teen is difficult but that things get much better as you get older and get away from high school. Bullying efforts were also encouraged across the country and schools began to take it more seriously.

Newsmax brutally mocked after including Ben Shapiro in its list of Black conservatives

The far-right network Newsmax struggled to come up with a list of Black conservatives Wednesday during a report about Black conservatives.

The list of those included were former Sheriff David Clarke, Herman Cain, Ben Shapiro and Ben Carson. Herman Cain died in 2020 of COVID-19 and Ben Shapiro is white.

Secret Service fatally shoots man at Peruvian ambassador's residence in DC

The Secret Service shot and killed a man on Capitol Hill Wednesday morning after what was thought to be a burglary.

According to NBC4 in Washington, police responded to a "burglary in progress" call at the residence of Peruvian Ambassador Oswaldo de Rivero just after 8 a.m.

Florida man says he was brutally beaten in front of his own home for being gay

Attacks on LGBTQ+ people continue in Florida where one man says he was beaten up for being gay, reported Miami 7 News.

Last week, Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis (FL) signed the so-called "Don't Say Gay" bill, which made it illegal for LGBTQ+ teachers to even mention anything even if they are talking about their spouse. Any teacher who mentions it, or anything else that a parent finds "offensive" can result in a lawsuit.

US sets an all-time record for oil exports while Republicans complain of an energy crisis

Energy and commodities writer Javier Blas at Bloomberg News revealed that, this week, the United States hit an all-time record of crude and refined oil products it is exporting.

Only twice in history has the number jumped above 10 million barrels per day and this week captured one of those days, setting the record.

30 people called to testify in Georgia's Trump investigation have refused

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis revealed to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Tuesday that 50 people have voluntarily testified to investigators, while she is seeking subpoenas for at least 30 others who have refused.

For the first time in 14 months, Willis walked through the degree to which her team has progressed the probe into former President Donald Trump's actions. Willis hasn't publicly named the lead prosecutor on the case for security reasons, but the office would continue to move forward with about 60 additional people she wants to speak to about the Georgia election interference case.
