Appearing on MSNBC on Friday morning, conservative political analyst Susan Del Percio said the newly unearthed recording of a phone call to Michigan election officials from Donald Trump and Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel will likely come back to haunt McDaniel if she is called as a witness by special counsel Jack Smith, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel or Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.
In the call in which the former president implores Michigan officials Monica Palmer and William Hartmann not to sign the election document certifying the result, the RNC head is heard chiming in with, "If you can go home tonight, do not sign it. ... We will get you attorneys."
With one legal expert suggesting that McDaniel could be charged with bribery, Del Percio said she could also be in legal peril if she is compelled to take the stand and is pressed on her participation in an attempt to overturn the 2020 election results in her adopted home state where she once was the chair of the Michigan Republican Party.
"She's Trump's appointed puppet at the RNC," Del Percio told MSNBC host Chris Jansing.

"She has continued to do whatever the former president wants her to do."
"It will be interesting to see what kind of added pressure this adds to her and I think, while I'm not an attorney, this recording will certainly play up in some of the criminal charges and what kind of witness she becomes," she continued. "What is she willing to do or take to protect Donald Trump? My guess is, not much."
