Giuliani says he was 'authorized' to reveal that Donald Trump told Putin he would 'blow up' Russian churches

According to Rudy Giuliani, former President Donald Trump was threatening to blow up Russia one-and-a-half years ago.

In a discussion with Newsmax, where Giuliani hasn't been banned from appearing, the former New York City mayor falsely claimed that the United States was "energy independent" and that the U.S. didn't need oil or gas from Russia. The lowest point in 2020 when the U.S. was importing the least amount of Russian oil, there was still 10,850 barrels being brought in by Russia. That was in May 2020, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA).

'Where the hell were y’all': Whoopi unleashes profanity on GOP complaining about Ukraine after votes against funding

A shouting match broke out on "The View" Thursday when Whoopi Goldberg attacked Republicans for refusing to fight for Ukraine when Donald Trump held up aid in 2019.

"Where the hell were y'all," said Goldberg after showing a clip of Republicans posturing and praising Ukraine as even GOP voters' public opinion turns against Russia. She showed a clip of GOP members like Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA), Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) all trashing Biden for his response to the crisis. Some are claiming that the response has been "too slow." It's an ironic twist given it was just a few weeks ago that Republicans were promoting Russia over Ukraine.

Conspiracy theories blaming Venezuela for Trump's loss originated inside his White House: report

At least one White House aide secretly produced a report that blamed Donald Trump's election loss on Dominion Voting Systems.

The report, which alleged foreign entities secretly manipulated votes, was initially prepared so it could be sent to legislatures in states where Trump was trying to overturn his loss, and it was amplified in early December 2020 by the conservative Gateway Pundit blog -- but originated in the White House, reported The Guardian.

Steve Bannon fumes about DOJ's 'unparalleled arrogance' in latest filing over his contempt of Congress

On Tuesday, CBS News' Scott MacFarlane reported that former Trump adviser Steve Bannon put forward a new court filing in his criminal case, complaining that the Justice Department has shown "unparalleled arrogance" and that the prosecutors "are in a deep hole."

Bannon's outrage stems from the Justice Department's gathering of phone and email records from Robert Costello, an attorney for Bannon who also represented Rudy Giuliani. This, Bannon argues, is a violation of attorney-client privilege. Prosecutors, however, say that because Costello represented Bannon during his refusal to cooperate with the House January 6 Committee — and Bannon alleges he refused on advice of counsel — he is a witness to Bannon's criminal conduct and privilege does not apply.

Fox host admits Trump tried to bribe Ukraine in accidental self-own

Fox host Rachel Campos-Duffy was called out Sunday after she claimed that Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky likely wishes that former President Donald Trump was in charge.

Trump, who dodged the Vietnam draft claiming "bone spurs," withheld aid from Ukraine in 2019, telling Zelensky he would send the weapons package passed by Congress only if he did a "favor."

Ukraine no-fly proponent has ties to Trump's 2019 impeachment: report

According to a report from Mother Jones, one of the top advocates for a "limited" no-fly zone over Ukraine as Russia continues its unprovoked invasion of the country had a hand in the denial of military aid to Ukraine that eventually led to Donald Trump's first impeachment.

The report notes that former NATO ambassador Kurt Volker has become a passionate advocate for the defensive maneuver that some believe could instead expand the war.

Madison Cawthorn slurred Zelenskyy to prop up Trump's lies: conservative

Republicans moved swiftly to denounce Rep. Madison Cawthorn's slur against Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy -- who he called a "thug" -- but he's not all that far outside the GOP mainstream.

The North Carolina Republican drew widespread condemnation for comments made last week at a town hall that were reported Thursday, with GOP lawmakers including Liz Cheney, Joni Ernst and Lindsey Graham speaking out against Cawthorn, but The Bulwark columnist Charlie Sykes called out their hypocrisy.

Chance of Trump criminal charges 'rising' as former DOJ official recommends 'strike force': report

With the Department of Justice under Attorney General Merrick Garland being accused of dragging its feet investigating Donald Trump's part in the January 6 insurrection, a growing number of legal experts outside the department are saying they see plenty of evidence that should lead to criminal charges and are urging the DOJ to speed things up.

According to a report from the Guardian's Peter Stone, a bombshell filing on March 2 by the House panel investigating the Capitol riot made a strong case that implicated the former president in a “criminal conspiracy,” which has legal experts advocating for charges to be filed and even for a "strike force" of investigators to be convened.

'One more violation': Emails show Trump attorney John Eastman was aware Jan. 6 scheme was unlawful

Right-wing attorney John Eastman appears to be aware his scheme to pressure Mike Pence to overturn Donald Trump's election loss was unlawful.

Email exchanges released last week by the House select committee show that Eastman was aware that interrupting the congressional certification of Joe Biden's election win, so that Trump's attorneys could argue the Electoral Count Act was not followed to the letter of the law, was, in fact, unlawful but pressed forward with the scheme, reported The Guardian.

The list of ways Republicans have worked to undermine Ukraine

Ukraine is being forced to dig mass graves after the brutality they're facing from Russia. Wednesday, a children's hospital and maternity center was bombed. Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed it was a "military target."

Meanwhile, back in the United States, Republicans are clamoring to figure out how to blame everything on Joe Biden while justifying their cornucopia of positions. It only adds to the timeline of anti-Ukraine actions the GOP made over the past several years that they've turned to support Putin.
