A new book appears to detail the genesis of former president Donald Trump's "big lie," in which he has falsely claimed that he won the November 2020 election.

The Washington Post on Tuesday morning published an excerpt from the book, "I Alone Can Fix It: Donald J. Trump's Catastrophic Final Year," by Carol D. Leonnig and Philip Rucker.

The Republican National Committee's top lawyer said that the elections lawsuits filed by Trump lawyers Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis were doomed to get thrown out of court -- and he advised against the RNC getting involved.

The Washington Post reports that RNC chief counsel Justin Riemer wrote in an email to former GOP spokeswoman Liz Harrington that Trump allies' desperate bids to keep him in the White House were a "joke" that had no chance of success.

Former Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani's legal fundraising webpage has reportedly "disappeared" after he failed to raise even $10,000 to help pay his legal bills.

The Daily Beast reports that the fundraising page for the one-time New York mayor went offline sometime between Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.

Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs has asked her state's attorney general to investigate election interference from President Donald Trump and his allies.

The Arizona Republic reported Wednesday that Hobbs believes the communications "involve clear efforts to induce supervisors to refuse to comply with their duties," which she thinks could have violated Arizona law.

Speaking to the right-wing network Newsmax, Rudy Giuliani lashed out at Black Lives Matter falsely claiming that every rally they have called for the killing of police officers.

We "should take the bull off of Black Lives Matter and exactly say what they are -- they are cop killers," said Giuliani.
