Andrew Giuliani claims he’s being discriminated against by TV channel because he’s not vaccinated

NEW YORK — Republican gubernatorial candidate Andrew Giuliani claims he’s being picked on by New York’s local news station NY1, which barred him from its studios for the next candidates’ debate because he is unvaccinated. The son of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani says that he should be allowed to debate his political rivals, Lee Zeldin, Harry Wilson and Rob Astorino, at either a neutral location or in the Chelsea studio of the cable news channel. “NY1 Spectrum News has imposed a COVID mandate, saying that I can actually not come in the building again,” he said during a Sunday news co...

‘He doesn’t deserve mercy’: Ruben Gallego goes off on John Eastman during CNN interview

One of the Iraq War veterans who took action to defend Congress from Trump supporters on Jan. 6 blasted Rudy Giuliani on CNN on Friday.

"On Wednesday, after chemical irritants were fired in the Capitol to repel a pro-Trump mob, Rep. Ruben Gallego thought of the moment years ago when he entered a Marine Corps gas chamber. The training was suddenly relevant for the Iraq veteran and Arizona Democrat after an announcement blared to don gas masks stored under the seats. Gallego looked over the panicked faces of fellow lawmakers and explained to them some of the most potent lessons from boot camp," The Washington Post reported the day after the attack. "Trust your mask. Take measured, shallow breaths. Don’t panic."

“Forget her marriage,” says former U.S. Attorney Harry Litman, now an LA Times legal affairs columnist.

Pence was within 40 feet of mob inflamed by Trump, Jan. 6 committee reveals

The private and public conflict between Donald Trump and Mike Pence over certifying the 2020 election results put the vice president within steps of the Jan. 6 attackers, the U.S. House committee investigating the insurrection said Thursday.

As the mob approached the U.S. Senate chamber in the Capitol, the vice president’s Secret Service retinue hustled him into a secure location. Pence’s and the rioters’ paths were within 40 feet of each other, said U.S. Rep. Pete Aguilar, a California Democrat, who led much of the committee questioning in the panel’s third public hearing.

Legal expert explains why ‘detached from reality’ may be Trump’s best legal defense

This Thursday, June 16 will mark the third day in a series of public hearings from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s select committee on the January 6, 2021 insurrection. The committee, through its witnesses and testimony, has been demonstrating that former President Donald Trump lied about the results of the 2020 presidential election — falsely claiming that it was stolen from him — and that his Big Lie led to a mob of his supporters, some of whom have faced criminal charges, violently attacking the U.S. Capitol Building that day.

Renato Mariotti, a former federal prosecutor, offers some legal analysis of the hearings in an article published by Politico on June 15. And Mariotti argues that being “detached from reality” may be Trump’s best legal defense when it comes to the evidence presented during the hearings.

'Absolute joke': Republicans 'disappointed' after pro-Trump Nevada GOP primary loser cries fraud

The Nevada Republican Party on Tuesday refuted baseless allegations of voter fraud from losing Republican gubernatorial primary candidate Joey Gilbert.

Joe Lombardo, the former Clark County sheriff who rebranded in the primary as a hardline right-winger, is projected by the Associated Press to defeat Gilbert, a COVID truther and voter fraud conspiracy theorist who marched on the Capitol on Jan. 6. Lombardo led Gilbert 38.4% to 27.6% with 82% of precincts reporting Wednesday morning.
