Economist Paul Krugman trashes Elon Musk as being unable to care for a cat much less a company

After the swift downfall of Twitter leadership, investors appear to be bailing on Elon Musk's other company, Tesla. The company's stock closed at just $110 on Tuesday, and Forbes reported that they'd lost $800 billion over the course of the year. With China, Tesla's top market, dealing with the pandemic, few are thinking about buying a Tesla.

New York Times columnist and economist Paul Krugman compared Tesla to cryptocurrency, which has some brands that have slowly collapsed over the year as well.

'It's become a hellscape': The View debates dumping Twitter over Elon Musk's mismanagement

Alyssa Milano was once a big fan of Elon Musk and a proud Tesla owner, but that has changed. Speaking to the co-hosts of "The View" on Tuesday, she explained why Musk wasn't who she thought he was.

"For me, speaking of #MeToo, when he was accused of sexual misconduct and paid out $250,000 to this person, I decided — I can't live in that hypocrisy of that, driving that car, you know, when that happened," she said. "I'm kind of, I'm so annoyed with all of these billionaires, especially with Elon Musk. You buy Twitter to destroy it for $44 billion. Imagine if he donated that money to UNICEF. He would change the world. There would be no hunger!"

Former colleague mocks Truth Social CEO Devin Nunes because Trump is likely to abandon it

Donald Trump was restored to Twitter on Sunday along with all of his previous tweets and a large following that is 20 times larger than his following on Truth Social. It sparked Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) to assume that the former president was about to bail on his social media site.

"Well, look, I get that people are on all sides of the debate. The fact that he did it with a poll of however many of those could be bots, they aren't real people voting in that. Secondarily, I don't know if that decision should be made by some poll," said Kinzinger.

Here's how Trump's restored Twitter account could help prosecutors

@realDonaldTrump was removed from Twitter in the days following the Jan. 6 attack and after several months of claiming the election was "rigged." When that happened, all of the amplification and promotion of his tweets went along with it.

Presumably, the House Select Committee pulled some information from Twitter, but the newly restored account means that those links to other accounts are also available again.

It took less than 2 hours for election lies about Arizona to go viral

Mark Twain's adage is that false information can spread around the world before the truth gets its boots on. Gizmodo charted that it took less than two hours for an election lie to go viral.

Last week, there was a restraining order issued against conservative, sometimes armed militia members who were sitting outside of ballot drop boxes filming people, chasing people and generally trying to scare people. It gave an opportunity for a case study to chart the role of disinformation and how it can generate discord among political foes.

Business expert warns of Elon Musk's ties to China: He dug a 'hole full of vipers and grenades and jumped in'

It has only been a few days and Elon Musk's Twitter is already going downhill fast, indicated CNN on Sunday afternoon. Among his first public moves on the platform was tweeting out a conspiracy theory from a known-fake news website. His new lax rules allowing a free-for-all of language, attacks, and hate speech on the platform has resulted in several advertisers withdrawing from the platform and losing $33 billion on the day of closing alone.

Scott Galloway, professor of Marketing at NYU's School of Business, warned that the real threat Musk would face is that his ties to China will ultimately be his undoing.

Meet the Republicans who are praying for your computer to die until after the election

Eric Trump, Michael Flynn and Roger Stone all took part in a political-religious event that left many shocked. While many have talked about this brand of Christofascism that has nothing to do with Christianity, MSNBC's Rachel Maddow pointed out key points of the absurd prayers of Flynn's Christian Nationalism group.

"We are to pray and crush the satellites," said a pastor at the event. "We need to send a Holy Ghost virus into their computer to destroy them so they will not function until our election is over."
