Ex-Marine aims to flip Missouri's red-state Senate seat with fiery populism -- and 'tough love' for  Dems

Lucas Kunce is a Democrat running for an open U.S. Senate seat in 2022 in Missouri. He is by far the leading campaign fundraiser in his party, having amassed more than double the amount of his nearest opponent.

But when it comes to looking or sounding like a traditional Democratic candidate, that’s about the end of it. Kunce is the quintessential outsider, leaning heavily on raw populist messaging that in the Trump era has been hijacked in Missouri and elsewhere -- however disingenuously -- by Republicans.

Washington Post explains why charging parents of under-age mass shooters must be the next step

CORRECTION: A previous version of this story claimed that Rittenhouse carried his weapon across state lines. This is incorrect. Prosecutors of the case said there is no evidence this happened and in October 2020, the Office of the State's Attorney in Lake County said that an "investigation revealed the gun used in the Kenosha shooting was purchased, stored and used in Wisconsin. Additionally, there is no evidence the gun was ever physically possessed by Kyle Rittenhouse in Illinois.” Raw Story regrets the error.

The Washington Post editorial board columns have slowed as former President Donald Trump left the White House. But in the wake of the Oxford, Michigan mass shooting, the group announced that it agreed with the decision to prosecute parents of underage mass shooters who they gave illegal access to guns.
