Kyle Rittenhouse requests the return of the weapon he used to shoot 3 protesters so it can be 'properly destroyed'

After being acquitted on multiple criminal charges for shooting three Black Lives Matter supporters (two of them fatally) at an August 2020 rally in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Kyle Rittenhouse was praised as a hero in the right-wing media, while many liberal and progressive pundits on MSNBC and CNN were horrified by the verdict. Never Trump conservative Tim Miller, meanwhile, didn’t agree with either viewpoint, describing Rittenhouse as a foolish, misguided kid who got in way over his head — not someone who should be either praised by the right or vilified by the left. Now, Rittenhouse is asking if the AR-15-style weapon he used in Kenosha can be returned to him in order to be destroyed.

In a document filed in a Kenosha courtroom this week, attorney Mark Richards wrote, “Mr. Rittenhouse further wishes to ensure that the firearm in question is properly destroyed.”

"Smart" pistols designed to limit who can shoot them are poised to hit the booming US firearm market this year, taking aim at spiking gun deaths as federal lawmakers remain deadlocked on any new restrictions.

Marjorie Taylor Greene wants a longer waiting period for new Florida voters than to buy an AR-15

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) made news this week after she began promoting secession, which she has coined as a "national divorce." But another part of her statement is being ignored that advocated for restrictions on Democrats voting, but not for Republicans.

According to Greene, there should be a "waiting period" for Democrats before they can vote in a new state when they move. Ironically, such a "waiting period" would be longer than for a mass shooter to purchase an automatic weapon for their attack.

Ex-Marine aims to flip Missouri's red-state Senate seat with fiery populism -- and 'tough love' for  Dems

Lucas Kunce is a Democrat running for an open U.S. Senate seat in 2022 in Missouri. He is by far the leading campaign fundraiser in his party, having amassed more than double the amount of his nearest opponent.

But when it comes to looking or sounding like a traditional Democratic candidate, that’s about the end of it.
