Kansas AG aides attended 'war games' summit where group planned response to Biden win

Two top aides in Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt's office traveled last year to a summit where staffers of conservative attorneys general participated in “war games" to plan how they might respond to the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.

Records obtained by Kansas Reflector show the two aides — Clint Blaes and Jeff Chanay — were approved to travel to Atlanta for a summit of senior staff members of attorneys general offices put on by the Rule of Law Defense Fund, a group associated with the Republican Attorneys General Association. The group paid for the two aides' expenses.

North Korea appears to have held late-night military parade: Yonhap

North Korea appears to have staged a military parade in Pyongyang in the early hours of Thursday, the South's Yonhap news agency reported, citing an unnamed military source and saying Seoul was seeking to confirm the event.

Yonhap's source said only that there were "signs" the parade took place after midnight and was unable to provide additional details, such as whether leader Kim Jong Un was in attendance or if Pyongyang unveiled any new military hardware.

A Texas prisoner wants his pastor to place his hands on him as he’s executed Wednesday. The state won’t allow it.

On Wednesday, Texas plans to execute John Ramirez for the 2004 murder and robbery of a convenience store clerk in Corpus Christi. The prisoner's last request to the state has been to let his pastor hold on to him as he dies.

It's a request the Texas prison system has rejected. Ramirez has argued the decision violates his religious rights, but the courts have so far sided with the state.
