Former GOP congressman calls for Marjorie Taylor Greene to be censured

U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) numerous times heckled President Joe Biden as he delivered the State of the Union Address, including repeatedly calling him a "liar."

Not in modern history has anyone so clearly disturbed the decorum of the nationally-televised event watched live by 40 million Americans. Not even U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC), who infamously also called the President a liar – "You lie!" – during another nationally-televised event, that one by President Barack Obama in September of 2009.

'Liar!' Marjorie Taylor Greene screams through the State of the Union

The State of the Union brought together a Democratic president and Senate along with a divided and far-right House of Representatives.

According to MSNBC's Garrett Haake, Rep. George Santos (R-NY) got to the House chamber earlier than anyone else, even reporters and set himself up on the aisle so he could shake hands with those who came in. Santos appeared to be trying to talk to Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) but it appeared that Romney had no interest in speaking to him, turning his back.

'Chaos': Lincoln Project ridicules the 'state of the Republican Party'

A video released by the Lincoln Project ahead of the State of the Union Address explores the state of the Republican Party. It used clips of Speaker Kevin McCarthy's (R-CA) video published Monday ranting about problems without providing any solutions.

It showed clips of Republicans ranting about whether the next China balloon would have a "virus" inside of it and asked whether it took off from Wuhan, the city where the COVID-19 pandemic is thought to have originated.

Watch: Boebert gets shut down after suggesting Biden to blame for CBP suicides

During a House hearing on Tuesday, the grandstanding antics practiced by Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colorado) came back to bite her when she was reminded of a voting position the GOP took during the omnibus bill.

Boebert was at the conclusion of a long-winded inquiry where she continuously cut off the three U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents who testified, often redirected their answers to praise for former President Donald Trump and ranted on about the increasing dangers of immigrants in the country, insisting that terrorists, criminals and sex traffickers make up a significant portion of those who enter the country.

Trump lawyer launches 'charm offensive' on judge who previously smacked down 'absurd' claims

An attorney representing former President Donald Trump on Tuesday launched what Law & Crime News reporter Adam Klasfeld described as a "charm offensive" on a judge who had previously shown little patience for the Trump legal team's arguments.

According to Klasfeld, attorney Joe Tacopina tried to ease tensions between Trump's legal team and U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan, who is overseeing the civil lawsuit filed against Trump by E. Jean Carroll.

Trump now faces these four major criminal probes: Mueller prosecutor

Speaking to MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell, Robert Mueller's senior prosecutor Andrew Weissmann walked through the four major criminal cases Donald Trump now faces in court.

Weissmann said it was "remarkable" that a former president of the United States would be facing so many criminal investigations that are headed toward prosecution at the same time.

Christianity 'has devolved into a rabid tribe': Lauren Boebert bashed for praying that Biden's 'days be few'

Speaking to a church audience, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) told the crowd to pray for Joe Biden: "May his days be few and another take his office.”

The quote – taken from a Bible excerpt which continues: "May his children be fatherless and his wife a widow" – caused uproar among those on social media who saw a video of it, taken this past weekend at the SALT Conference for women that was held in a Dallas church. The clip was first posted by PatriotTakes, a liberal PAC, and later shared by the Washington Post.

Church leader busted for forcing tenants to suffer for months without hot water

Johnnie Campbell hasn't taken a hot shower since before Halloween, and neither have his neighbors.

Tenants at an apartment complex in Jacksonville, Arkansas, have been forced to boil water and bathe in their sinks for months because their landlord ignored a broken water heater for nearly three months until KARK-TV started texting and calling.

Trump feels 'hurt' by 'very disloyal' Republicans running against him: report

Former President Donald Trump is not known for his sensitivity, but a new report from Semafor describes him as being "hurt" by the fact that other Republicans may soon announce 2024 presidential bids.

One source close to the Trump campaign tells the publication that Trump had assumed no one would run against him because he's experienced "six years of people sucking up to him" and telling him "that he was the greatest president ever."

'Headache-inducing' Lauren Boebert claim shredded by MSNBC's Mika

MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski strongly rejected Rep. Lauren Boebert's (R-CO) complaint about Capitol rioters being unarmed during the Jan. 6 insurrection.

The Colorado Republican clashed with Democrats on the House Natural Resources Committee over a proposed ban on members carrying guns in the hearing room, and the "Morning Joe" co-host was astonished that Boebert used the attack on the U.S. Capitol -- which she foreshadowed that morning on Twitter -- as justification to arm herself in Congress.

'Absolutely repulsive': Critics reeling over lapel pin worn by some House Republicans

At least three House Republicans this week began wearing pins in the shape of an assault weapon on their clothing. U.S. Rep. George Santos (R-NY), U.S. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL), and U.S. Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA) were all caught on camera with the pins, leading some to express outrage.

U.S. Rep. Jimmy Gomez (D-CA) was among the first to circulate images of the two Republicans wearing the pins.

Dems fear State of the Union attack as GOP rolls back January 6 security

House Democrats fear rolling back January 6 security measures will put Tuesday's State of the Union address at risk of attack.

In a letter to congressional leadership, they voiced concern about Republicans' move to return security to levels it was at before the attack on the Capitol, reported Axios. Among other things, metal detectors would be removed.

GOP readies 'shameful' vote to oust progressive from House committee

Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and her progressive allies are denouncing the Republican effort to oust her from a key House panel as early as Thursday.

House Republicans on Wednesday advanced a resolution to remove Omar from the House Foreign Affairs Committee (HFAC). In a party-line 218-209 vote, GOP lawmakers approved a rule that sets the parameters for debate on the chamber floor prior to a final vote.

"It remains unclear when House Republicans will bring the Omar resolution to the floor for debate and a final vote," The Hill reported. "Democrats still need to formally submit a separate resolution with their roster for the Foreign Affairs Committee." That is expected to happen by Thursday.
