Trump 'preparing list' of potential pardons that includes family members — and perhaps himself: report

On Thursday, Bloomberg News reported that President Donald Trump is preparing paperwork for a sweeping list of pardons — and that people under consideration for pardons include members of his family, White House staff who aren't even under investigation for anything, and possibly himself.

"Preemptive pardons are under discussion for top White House officials who have not been charged with crimes, including Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, senior adviser Stephen Miller, personnel chief John McEntee, and social media director Dan Scavino," reported Jennifer Jacobs, Justin Sink, and Josh Wingrove. "The president's eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump, her husband, Jared Kushner, who both hold White House positions, are also under consideration, the people said. Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani has also discussed the issue of a pardon with the president."

One of President Donald Trump's own lawyers is confessing that he was used in aiding a crime. Law360 reported Thursday that Jerome M. Marcus of Marcus & Auerbach LLC, who represented Trump in the Philadelphia lawsuits challenging the 2020 election results, now wants to withdraw from the case.
