'Trump has met his match’: Omarosa hints she handed over incriminating evidence to Mueller
Omarosa Manigault-Newman hinted that she may have given recorded evidence to special counsel Robert Mueller of President Donald Trump's participation in a conspiracy to release emails stolen by Russian hackers.
The former White House adviser and reality TV star spoke Wednesday afternoon with MSNBC's Craig Melvin, who asked her to justify her claim that Trump knew about emails stolen from the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee before they were dumped online by WikiLeaks.
"That's the most explosive allegation that you've made, and it's not even in the book," Melvin said.
Manigault, who said she has been interviewed in the special counsel probe, said that omitted allegation was related to the Mueller investigation.
"There's some things that are involved in this investigation, the Mueller investigation, that I was very careful not to put in the book," she said.
Melvin asked if she had proof that Trump knew about the hacked emails before they were posted online, and she declined to answer -- but hinted she might have given that evidence to Mueller.
"I can't even talk about the things that I talked with them," Manigault said. "I can't talk about the things I've submitted to them, but I want you to know that I fully continue to cooperate with this investigation."
She stood by her claims, and stated that she could prove them.
"I have been able to verify every single thing that I put in the book," Manigault said. "I've verified everything I've stated, and every single time the Trump people challenge me, I bring the receipts."
The former "Apprentice" star said she was ready to fight any legal challenge posed by the president and his administration.
"I'm now faced with this legal action from the president, an attempt to silence me," she said. "You'd have to ask the question, what is he afraid of? Why is he being so aggressive to shut me down? And why is he trying to stop the publishing of the book? What does Donald Trump have to hide?"
