Donald Trump's bookkeeper, Allen Weisselberg, was among those who scored many un-taxed benefits from his employer, but it was his ex-daughter-in-law who was the one who tipped off the New York District Attorney's Office to what was happening.

Many of the things were revealed to Bloomberg News in an expose.

Former special assistant to the New York district attorney, Mark Pomerantz wrote in his newly released book about a conversation former President Donald Trump reportedly had with his bookkeeper Allen Weisselberg and lawyer Michael Cohen.

The discussion was about Trump constantly attempting to inflate his net worth. Trump would give the bottom line number and Weisselberg would have to figure out how to make the numbers work.

Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) couldn't help but note that the Republicans that took over the House of Representatives don't have much of a leg to stand on when it comes to their conspiracies.

"Well, it doesn't feel good that my colleagues who had information that the committee needed basically blew off a subpoena that the committee sent that was duly authorized," Lofgren said. "So, that is not positive. We referred that matter to the Ethics Committee. But it doesn't make them look particularly eager to uphold the law when they have defied it."

An unsealed court filing revealed that twice Donald Trump mixed up his ex-wife Marla Maples with E. Jean Carroll, who is alleging he raped her and has since defamed her.

MSNBC's Rachel Maddow requested that the documents be unsealed, "Law & Crime" revealed on Tuesday. In the past, Trump alleged that he couldn't have raped Carroll because she was "not my type." He claimed Carroll was "too ugly to rape." But court documents indicate that he couldn't tell the difference between Carroll and his wife in the mid-1990s.

In his newly released book, former prosecutor Mark Pomerantz outlines a potential cooperation agreement with former "fixer" Michael Cohen that could go up in smoke thanks to prosecutors' strict and inflexible rules for cooperation.

In his recently released book People vs. Donald Trump: An Inside Account, Pomerantz explains that for Cohen to be allowed to cooperate, protocol demanded that he confess to anything he'd ever done in his life that was illegal and be willing to plead guilty for it.

One of the critical things that MSNBC host Rachel Maddow pointed out on Monday night was that former Manhattan special assistant to the district attorney, Mark Pomerantz, wrote that Trump was under nine criminal investigations.

Maddow discussed a racketeering case and the Stormy Daniels hush money case. The other seven cases are related to financial fraud Pomerantz says he uncovered and is also detailed in the nearly 300-page indictment by the New York Attorney General. While she can charge Trump with civil crimes, Pomerantz makes the case that many of these financial fraud crimes are also criminal.

Speaking to MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell, Robert Mueller's senior prosecutor Andrew Weissmann walked through the four major criminal cases Donald Trump now faces in court.

Weissmann said it was "remarkable" that a former president of the United States would be facing so many criminal investigations that are headed toward prosecution at the same time.

Former special assistant to the district attorney, Mark Pomerantz disputes claims that the information he has detailed in his book is of such importance that it could destroy any potential case against former President Donald Trump.

Speaking to MSNBC's Rachel Maddow on Monday night, Pomerantz said that on all of these issues "the cat is out of the bag." In fact, he added, "those cats have been running all over the place literally for years."

CNN reported Monday evening that new documents from the U.S. intelligence agencies detail previous China spy balloons under Donald Trump's presidency, which he has denied on his social media account.

According to statements over the weekend, the Trump Pentagon never informed the president or other White House officials about the spy balloons.

Speaking to MSNBC's Rachel Maddow, former special assistant to the Manhattan District Attorney, Mark Pomerantz, said that they could have gone after Donald Trump for a RICO case, but the department didn't have enough resources.

"We were looking at instance after instance of suspected illegal conduct. Of course, they had to be provable. But if they were proven, their collective weight left no doubt in my mind that Trump deserved to be prosecuted. Measures short of criminal prosecution had been used against trump, and he had dismissed them as trivial," Pomerantz's new book, People vs. Donald Trump.

Former New York prosecutor Mark Pomerantz's new book will drop Tuesday at midnight. But earlier tonight, he shared some tidbits with MSNBC's Rachel Maddow.

The interview came after he spoke to "60 Minutes" on Sunday about the financial crimes he argued should be part of the charges by the Manhattan District Attorney's office. Thus far, it seems the only one willing to go after that case is New York Attorney General Letitia James. The AG can only handle civil crimes against the state, they don't do criminal cases.

The clip was first posted by PatriotTakes, a liberal PAC, and later shared by the Washington Post.
