If Democrats don't pass voting rights they'll lose in 2022 and Biden will be impeached: Prof. Jason Johnson

Dr. Jason Johnson, professor at Morgan State University, dropped a truth-bomb on Democrats during his appearance with MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace on Tuesday. According to him, there is no other bill than voting rights, because, without it, the GOP voter suppression laws will ensure Democrats lose.

While the panel debated the importance of the voting rights bill and whether Democrats will fight for it, Johnson explained that it's the only issue that Democrats should focus on.

Arkansas' right-wing governor goes after Donald Trump for 'dividing us'

Speaking on CNN this Tuesday, Arkansas GOP Gov. Asa Hutchinson warned his fellow Republicans that Donald Trump is "dividing our party."

Hutchinson told CNN's John Berman that he disagreed with the Republican effort to oust Wyoming GOP Rep. Liz Cheney from her position as the Republican Party's conference chair.

GOP-backed group plans to use ballot harvesting to take down California’s governor

Supporters of the effort to recall California Gov. Gavin Newsom have entered into "phase 2" of the campaign. ABC 7 reports that it has obtained a document that outlines how "Rescue California" plans to remove Newsom.

Among the strategies that will be utilized to oust Newsom will be to create a "Volunteer Citizens Brigade" that will identify potential supporters, "ballot harvest" Republican votes, and target Latino, APPI and Independent voters, according to ABC 7. The effort will also launch a "Recall CARE FOR KIDS" drive to hand out backpacks and school supplies to neighborhoods where schools were most impacted by the closures due to the pandemic.

Kevin McCarthy promises 'we embrace free thought' as he announces vote to oust Liz Cheney

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) officially called for another vote to oust Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) after 145 Republicans voted to keep her after she voted for Donald Trump's impeachment.

The vote in the GOP caucus was expected this week, but McCarthy made it official in a new letter. Ironically, however, McCarthy also claimed that members of his caucus "embrace free thought and debate," the antithesis of ousting Cheney for her opinions on Trump.

Florida man arrested after bragging he was at Capitol riot on Facebook: ‘You know I was there, right?’

Another man was arrested after he bragged that he was part of the attack at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 on social media.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, 55-year-old John Maron Nassif bragged on Facebook and posted videos from inside the building.

The Arizona Republican Party has become a laughing stock after their so-called election "audit" has turned into an international joke, reported the Arizona Republic.

As the so-called audit goes into its final week, it has become clear that the counters won't be able to make it through all of the 2.1 million ballots from Maricopa County. They did, however, manage to examine the paper to see if any were made of bamboo after a conspiracy theory that southeast Asia sent 40,000 ballots to Arizona.

'Lethal-looking, burly, bearded man' lied he was RNC 'security' during Virginia ballot counting

A slate of Trumpy and Trumpier Republicans signed up to run for governor in Virginia, but after casting ballots at the "unassembled" GOP convention, the party continues to count the votes.

At one point, however, a large "burly bearded" man reportedly appeared outside the room where the count was taking place. He claimed he was from the national Republican Party, reported The Virginia Mercury's Ned Oliver. Virginia GOP chairman Rich Anderson had to wake up an RNC official, who confirmed that the party never sent anyone as security.

Former Pentagon chief expected to throw Trump under the bus at Capitol riot hearing

When former President Donald Trump fired Defense Secretary Mark Esper, he put Chris Miller in charge just months ahead of the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. The assumption is that Miller is going to throw his former boss under the bus Wednesday while testifying about the failures during the attack, Axios reported.

One of the biggest problems on that day was that the demand for National Guard troops to be sent to the Capitol went ignored out of fears over "optics," the Associated Press reported in March.
