Musical artist Kanye West will reportedly announce his bid for president of the United States at a campaign event in Charleston, S.C. on Sunday.
The rally is only open to registered guests who sign a COVID-19 waiver.
The event was expected to begin at 5 p.m.

Appearing with MSNBC host Alex Witt and Jonathan Lemire of the Associated Press, commentator Roland Martin went on a rant over Donald Trump's comments on Fox News on Sunday morning that he might not accept the will of the voter's in November.
With Lemire calling the president's answer to host Chris Wallace "extraordinarily worrisome," Martin went off on the president for hinting he is on the fence about the peaceful transfer of power.
"If you recognize how this man is nuts, the focus should be very simple: mobilize, organize, register and vote if you want to honor the memory of Congressman John Lewis, if you want to honor Reverend C.T. Vivian, if you want to honor Joseph Lowery, the freedom fighters, get this nut out," he began.
"Here's the deal: I don't care how he might respond after the election, if you rely on the polls and don't vote and then he wins four years, it doesn't matter," he continued. "So I think, if you are an opposer of Trump, that's what the focus should be. I understand we focus on these things and then the question is legitimate, but the reality is give him the answer first -- make sure that he loses, that he experiences that feeling."
"Trust me, he's going to go, let's just be real clear," he elaborated. "Donald Trump is going to get out of the White House, okay? We have laws, we have rules, We have a very strong military and police who will usher him out according to the Constitution, I'm not worried about that. My worry is whether the people are going to be lackadaisical and sit back and not vote."
"Every person should be focused and make sure this man has no access to power after November -- he is dangerous and deranged," he concluded.

President Donald Trump suggested that bases named after Confederate soldiers should not be renamed because he could think of no Black war heroes deserving of the honor.
Trump made the remarks during an interview in which Fox News host Chris Wallace noted that legislation funding the Department of Defense could also force some bases to be renamed.
"You're going to veto that?" Wallace asked.
'I did more for the military than any president!" Trump exclaimed.
"But you're going to veto this bill?" Wallace pressed.
"I think that Ft. Bragg, Ft. Robert E. Lee -- all of these forts that have been named that way for a long time -- decades and decades," the president opined.
"But the military says they are for this," Wallace pointed out.
"Excuse me," Trump continued. "I don't care what the military says. I'm supposed to make the decision. Ft. Bragg is a big deal. We won two world wars. Nobody even knows Gen. Bragg."
"What are we going to name it," he added, seemingly at a loss for the names of Black war heroes. "You going to name it after the Rev. Al Sharpton? What are you going to name it, Chris? Tell me what you're going to name it."
Trump reminded the Fox News host that the United States "won two beautiful world wars that were vicious and horrible."
"And now, they want to throw those names away," he complained. "And I'm against that."

Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Colin Powell on Sunday revealed that he supports the renaming of bases that honor Confederate generals.
During an interview on CBS, host Margaret Brennan asked Powell if the country is too divided to address systemic racism.
"We're a much better nation now," Powell explained. "We're living better than we did then. But there's more to be done. There are more youngsters that have to be educated, there are more adults that have to be educated. We have to fix the economic system."
Brennan pointed out that Gen. Mark Miley, the current Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has recently expressed support for renaming military bases that honor Confederate officers.
"I would rename the bases," Powell agreed. "We really hadn't thought about it a few years ago. But now with Black Lives Matter and all the issues that are before us, I think it is a good idea to rename the 10 bases in the United States Army that are named after Confederates."
"You know, I never really thought about it," he added. "I fully support Gen. Milley is doing. I hope he doesn't get any difficulty with the rest of the administration. This is something we should do. And we should do it as quickly as we can."
Powell said that he also agrees with a decision to ban Confederate symbols on military bases.
"The Conferate flag is now an explicit demonstration of another time, another place, another country that had nothing to do with the United States of America," Powell explained. "It was Confederate states of America. They were not part of us. And this is not the time to keep demonstrating who they were and what they were back then."
"This is a time to move on," he insisted. "We have one flag and one flag only. And that's the flag we should all support."
President Donald Trump has expressed support for people who fly the Confederate flag and suggested that he will veto legislation to rename military bases.

Appearing on CNN's "State of the Union" on Sunday morning, Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler hammered the Donald Trump administration for sending federal law enforcement officers into his city, saying their tactic of snatching people off the streets and hustling them into unmarked rental cars is creating more tension in a city already wracked by street protests.
Speaking with host Jake Tapper, Wheeler, a Democrat got right to the point.
"What they are doing is sharply escalating the situation. Their presence here is actually leading to more violence and more vandalism. And it's not helping the situation at all. They're not wanted here,” Wheeler told the host before adding, "In fact, we want them to leave.”
Asked if they were breaking the law, the mayor said absolutely.
“The tactics that the Trump administration are using on the streets of Portland are abhorrent,” Wheeler stated. "As far as I can see, this is completely unconstitutional.“

Fox News host Chris Wallace batted aside Donald Trump's boast that he "aced" a cognitive test at Walter Reed hospital, telling the president that he took it too and "It's not the hardest test."
With the president challenging presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden to go down and take the test with him, the Fox News host pulled the president up and smiled as he pointed out there is little to be proud about for passing such a simple series of exercises.
"I took the [cognitive] test too, when I heard you passed it," Wallace said as a shot of the test scrolled on the screen for the viewers. "It's not the hardest test. It shows a picture and it says, 'what's that,' and it's an elephant."
"No, no," Trump snapped back. "You see that's all misrepresentation. Because, yes, the first few questions are easy, but I'll bet you couldn't answer the last five questions. I'll bet you couldn't, they get very hard."

President Donald Trump claims that he is "not a fan of Fox News" even though he's given them 10 times more interviews than any other network.
During an interview with Fox News, host Chris Wallace noted that Trump has attacked him with a number of "mean tweets."
"One of your beefs seems to be that I put Democrats on the show and I ask them questions," Wallace explained. "And I guess the question I have is, don't you understand it's my job to put Democrats on as well as Republicans and ask them probing questions just like I ask Republicans?"
"I'm not a big fan of Fox," Trump replied. "They've changed a lot since Roger Ailes. And I watch people like [Rep. Eric Swallwell (D-CA)], who don't even know."
Trump accused Wallace of interviewing "the nastiest people."
"Look, I know you very well," the president added. "I respect you a lot. I respect your father a lot... I do think this, I think you are toward the Democrats' side, which is okay."
"It's not true," Wallace protested.
Following the segment, CBS correspondent Mark Knoller noted that the appearance was Trump's 92nd interview on the network.

President Donald Trump suggested that he may not accept the results of the 2020 election because he's not a "good loser."
In an interview that aired on Sunday, Chris Wallace asked the president if he is a "good loser."
"I'm not a good loser," Trump replied. "I don't like to lose. I don't lose too often."
"So, are you gracious?" Wallace pressed.
"You don't know until you see, it depends," Trump insisted. "I think mail-in voting is going to rig the election."
"Are you suggesting that you might not accept the results of the election?" Wallace wondered.
"I have to see," Trump remarked.
"Can you give a direct answer?" Wallace asked again.
"I have to see! Look, no, I'm not going to just say yes," Trump complained.

President Donald Trump lashed out at Fox News host Chris Wallace after he was challenged on the false premise that the United States has the "lowest" COVID-19 mortality rate in the world.
"I think we have one of the lowest mortality rates," Trump argued in an interview that aired on Sunday.
"That's not true," Wallace pointed out. "We have 900 deaths on a single day this week. You can check it out."
At that point, Trump turned to White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, who was off camera, to back him up.
"I heard we have one of the lowest, maybe the lowest mortality rate anywhere in the world," Trump told McEnany, refusing to look at Wallace. "Do you have the numbers, please? Because I heard we have the best mortality rate."
McEnany interrupted the interview to deliver a piece of paper.
"Number one low mortality rate," Trump insisted, flashing the piece of paper at Wallace.
"I hope you show this because it shows what fake news is," the president griped.
"I don't think I'm fake news," Wallace replied.
"Today, you are," Trump shot back.
"I put the facts on," Wallace observed.
"You said we had the worst mortality rate in the world!" Trump exclaimed.
At that point, Fox News paused the interview to fact check the president.
According to numbers from Johns Hopkins University, the U.S. ranks seventh in mortality.

During an MSNBC panel discussion on Donald Trump's odds of winning re-election in November, NBC senior political analyst Jonathan Allen said the president's scare-mongering designed to frighten white suburban voters away from presumptive presidential opponent Joe Biden is having the reverse effect -- white voters are turning on the president.
Speaking with host Kendis Gibson, Allen laughed at the president's current ads and rhetoric which are supposed to make suburban moms fear a Biden presidency, adding that polling shows that they are not buying it.
"Jonathan, who will tell them there's a lot of black and brown people who live in the suburbs?" host Gibson began with a smile. "In a recent piece you wrote that five decades later, Trump is still pushing segregationist policies. The president has been saying a fair housing rule backed by Joe Biden would abolish the suburbs. Is it a dog whistle? What's the president doing here?"
"Yeah, I mean, I think a dog whistle is one way to put it," Allen laughed. "Others might call it a foghorn. I think as [McClatchy White House correspondent Francesca Chambers] said, he's trying to scare white voters, particularly white voters in the suburbs and in rural areas into thinking that, you know, there's some menace coming for them."
"The evidence that we've seen is that white suburban voters are leaving him, that they're not scared of black and brown voters, that they're not scared of integrated neighborhoods, that they're scared of Donald Trump's presidency," he elaborated. "We've seen that in the mid-term elections where they went away from Republicans, and we've seen that in the polling that we're watching."
"I don't think his message of racism is helping him with white suburban voters, at least not from a marginal perspective," he continued. "They are peeling away from him in the suburbs and so I think rather than sticking with him for the racism, and this comes from interviews and it comes from polling, his approval ratings on the handling of race issues are terrible."

President Donald Trump was hit with another hard-hitting video from The Lincoln Project -- the group of former top GOP strategists who are working to defeat the president in November.
"America now leads the world in COVID deaths," the ad begins.
"More than 140,000 Americans are dead," the ad continues. "Friends and colleagues. Sisters, brothers, mothers, and fathers -- 140,000 bodies."
"Side-by-side, they would span over 66 miles," the ad continued, with video of Trump's border wall. "They would fill more than 1,160 football fields."
"Trump is building his wall, just not the one he promised," the video continues.
As the camera zooms in on the wall, we see it isn't the steel-slat fence Trump is building along the border with Mexico, but is actually a wall of coffins with each one sequentially numbered.

The absurdity of White House statements on the 2020 presidential campaign was on full display for those watching Fox News on Saturday.
Traditionally, a White House press secretary would not risk violating federal law by talking about a partisan election, but Trump's administration has ignored the Hatch Act.
So McEnany went on Fox News to praise Trump. And while Trump's 2016 campaign relentlessly promised a border wall (paid for by Mexico), McEnany praised Trump for breaking down barriers. And while the Trump administration was criticized for crimes against humanity for his "kids in cages" scandal, McEnany said it was Democrats who "want to lock our children away."
McEnany also accused Democrats of ignoring the science during the COVID-19 pandemic.
