Biden's sanctions against Russia demands diplomats leave tomorrow

President Joe Biden will be implementing sanctions against Russia. Biden spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin Tuesday, in what was reported to be a "tense" conversation.

Bloomberg News reported that among the things in the sanctions plan are that diplomats must leave the United States by the end of the day Thursday.

"The U.S. plans to sanction about a dozen individuals, including government and intelligence officials, and roughly 20 entities, according to one of the people, who asked not to be identified because the matter was sensitive," said the Bloomberg report. "The U.S. is also expected to expel as many as 10 Russian officials and diplomats from the country, the person said."...

MSNBC cuts off Trump broadcast after he says pre-riot speech was 'totally appropriate'

MSNBC's Hallie Jackson interrupted President Donald Trump's remarks to reporters on Tuesday after the president started to "veer away from the truth."

"I think Big Tech has made a terrible mistake and very, very bad for our country," Trump said, referring to Twitter's decision to shut down his account. "And that's leading others to do the same thing. And it causes a lot of problems and a lot of danger. Big mistake, they shouldn't be doing it. But there's always a counter-move when they do that."

"And you have to always avoid violence," he added. "And we have tremendous support -- we have support probably like nobody's ever seen before. Always have to avoid violence." ...

Trump acted 'like a 5-year-old' while watching supporters riot on TV: CNN's Camerota

CNN host Alisyn Camerota on Tuesday angrily denounced President Donald Trump after reports emerged that the president for hours refused to act to calm down his rioting supporters.

Reacting to the Washington Post report that Republican lawmakers couldn't reach Trump during the deadly Capitol building riots because he was transfixed with watching them on TV, Camerota said that the president's behavior reminded her of a toddler.

"He was just watching it all unfold," she said. "Like a five-year-old, he couldn't drag himself away from the stimulation of watching, you know, this deadly insurrection on television." ...

Trump aides admit they're 'babysitting a violent toddler' to keep him from creating more mayhem

The few remaining aides surrounding Donald Trump are admitting that they are spending their last days in the White House either avoiding the man they describe as a "violent toddler," or "babysitting" him in the hopes he won't do something that would imperil more lives in the U.S. or the world.

According to a report from the Daily Beast, the president has all but given up performing any of the few presidential duties he performed before the election and spends his days still insisting that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him.

In an effort, to give the appearance he is still in control, the president has insisted his daily schedule -- released to the public -- state in one form or another: "President Trump will work from early in the morning until late in the evening. He will make many calls and have many meetings."...

'The most masculine person ever': Trump aide objects after Fox News host asks if president is 'emasculated'

Trump campaign spokesperson Hogan Gidley objected to a question from Fox News which suggested that President Donald Trump has been "emasculated" after losing the 2020 election.

"With the social media crackdown, does he feel emasculated?" Fox News host Bill Hemmer asked Gidley in the Monday interview. "Especially as he heads out of office."

"Look, I wouldn't say emasculated," Gidley replied. "I mean, the most masculine person ever I think to hold the White House is the president of the United States." ...

‘People are going to jail’: Trump admin put on notice if DOJ secretly leaned on MAGA judge

Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) suggested over the weekend that a Trump administration official may have quietly contacted a federal appeals judge to stall a contempt inquiry, and the legal analyst interviewing him declared that if so, “people are going to jail.”

In a clip flagged by political video aggregator Acyn Torabi from the Legal AF podcast, Whitehouse laid out a hypothetical involving D.C. Circuit Judge Neomi Rao, a Trump appointee.

“If some MAGA official communicated to Judge Rao or her chambers and that resulted in the administrative stay that held the door open and kept the facts from the Senate Judiciary Committee for his confirmation and stalled investigation into misconduct by the DOJ,” Whitehouse began, “ask any judge how big a deal that is.”...

'Devastating': Glee erupts as Susan Collins' 'road salt' boast blows up in her face

Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) bragged about a road salt win at a Maine Senate debate, and her challenger's comeback had observers cheering.

On Tuesday, Collins faced Democratic challenger Troy Jackson in a debate weeks before the midterms. Asked what she would do about President Donald Trump's tariffs on Canada, Collins pointed to a specific victory.

"I was successful at getting road salt removed from the tariff list," Collins said. Jackson responded by pouncing on the answer....
