"The View" co-host Meghan McCain blamed Democrats for what she called "bad messaging" around masks and the vaccine as the coronavirus pandemic enters its next phase.

According to McCain, saying that people still have to wear masks despite being vaccinated gives conservatives no incentive to get the vaccine to begin with. The goal of the coronavirus vaccine is to prevent people from dying or being hospitalized with severe cases of the virus. Presumably, that would be the incentive for being vaccinated — to avoid death. But that isn't enough of an incentive for some conservatives, McCain argued.

Former federal prosecutor Sunny Hostin unleashed on the unfairness of the way 16-year-old Ma'Khia Bryant was killed while white criminals who had shot and killed people were "thanked" by police officers or got to stop by a Burger King for a snack.

The conversation was sparked by CNN host Don Lemon, who agreed with the police that there was a knife in Bryant's hand and they had no way of knowing that she wouldn't kill someone. Others argue that the officer could have used a taser instead of opening fire on her with several bullets to the chest.

The newly elected Georgia Republican placed a transphobic sign -- "There are TWO genders: Male & Female. Trust The Science!" -- outside the Capitol office door of Rep. Marie Newman (D-IL), whose daughter is transgender, as part of an ongoing dispute over the Equality Act granting stronger LBGTQ protections.

A combative Meghan McCain demanded answers from White House press secretary Jen Psaki on how President Joe Biden's policy is all that different from President Donald Trump separating kids from their parents in detention facilities.

It was a similar comment former Trump aide Stephen Miller said on Fox News Wednesday evening. Miller was the architect of the policy that took children from their parents to begin with, NBC News reported. "Miller saw the separation of families not as an unfortunate byproduct but as a tool to deter more immigration."

The conservative McCain said the party's post-presidency embrace of Trump left many Republican voters up for grabs, and she thought Democrats would already be trying to reach across the divide to them after President Joe Biden won.

McCain argued that over the weekend Dr. Anthony Fauci refused to say whether someone could go hang out with friends and family after being vaccinated. In Israel, she said, they have a campaign called "get a shot, do a shot," saying they can go out drinking after getting their vaccine.

Then, she said, social media algorithms started showing her more and more, recommending groups she join, which helped her meet others who could send her more conspiracies.
