U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon ruled that former President Donald Trump will not be allowed to have unsecured classified documents at Mar-a-Lago during his trial in Florida.

Cannon, a Trump appointee, threw cold water on calls to have a sensitive compartmented information facility (SCIF) at the former president's home so he could securely look at documents to prepare his defense.

Another Republican lawyer joins fight to disqualify Trump from ballot: report

A Republican lawyer with ties to three of former President Donald Trump's primary rivals is now investigating the theory that the former president can be barred from running in 2024 under the 14th Amendment, reported The Washington Post on Tuesday.

"Jason Torchinsky, a partner with the Virginia law firm Holtzman Vogel, has in recent days initiated conversations about the idea of trying to disqualify Trump with a range of figures, including a Democratic secretary of state, fellow election lawyers and a retired federal judge who has helped lead the push to question Trump’s eligibility, according to multiple people familiar with the calls, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss private conversations," reported Amy Gardner, Patrick Marley and Yvonne Wingett Sanchez.

Trump notches loss in Colorado suit to bar him from ballot: report

Donald Trump is facing yet another legal loss on Tuesday, after a judge rejected the former president's bid to move to federal court a Colorado case seeking to bar him from the state's 2024 ballot.

Chief U.S. District Judge Philip A. Brimmer sent the lawsuit back to a state court in Denver County where it was filed last week by a group of six voters, according to NBC, which first reported on the four-page order.
