During an appearance in Texas Wednesday, former President Donald Trump pretended that he was still the president, examining the border and the impact his unfinished and poorly built "wall" was having.

While there, CNN host Jim Acosta shouted out whether Trump would ever apologize for his role in instigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. He was booed by the pro-Trump audience there.

"We have found a purpose in life and we know what must be done," Ricky C. Willden wrote on the Christian crowdfunding site GiveSendGo on a page that raised $1,300 for 13 Proud Boys to travel from California to Washington DC for the Jan. 6 rally, according to a report in the Washington Post. He signed off: "We are no longer Standing By! God bless America!"

In DC, the 39-year-old Willden joined a mob at the east door of the Capitol and cheered as the doors open, according to the US Justice Department, which announced his arrest today. As rioters surged towards the door, public video shows Willden "raising his hand and spraying an unknown substance from a green can toward police officers who were standing guard," according to the government.

The Daily Beast reported Tuesday that a lower-level Marine was serving in the American armed forces while plotting to blow up the Democratic National Committee headquarters.

He obviously isn't the first. There was an individual who left bombs at the DNC and the Republican Party headquarters on Jan. 6, in an effort to distract police from the attacks on the Capitol.

The thought is that President Donald Trump's CFO Allen Weisselberg and/or the Trump Organization will be officially indicted on Thursday. While the former president claims that it isn't a big deal and isn't going to impact him personally, those on "Deadline White House" with Nicolle Wallace think otherwise.

MSNBC commentator and former Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) disputed that, saying that Trump won't admit it, but it will ultimately be a problem for him.

The New York Times published a 40-minute documentary Wednesday that extensively detailed the attack on the Capitol in new vantage points previously reported only with videos.

Among the pieces detailed in the documentary was a graphic showing each of the doors and windows breached by the attackers and what the police faced at each of those entrances.

In a bizarre story Tuesday night, Sens. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Tom Cotton (R-AR) broke out into push-ups during a fundraising event in Iowa. It's unclear why the display of masculinity was necessary before an audience of 200 passionate Iowans, but it was performed.

Cotton, who was an Army Ranger, should be no stranger to push-ups, which led former member of Parliament Louise Mensch to ask why his were so meager. Grassley, who is 87 years old now, needed help getting up after the display. Others who agreed noted that they couldn't even manage to get an honest push-up out of a politician this day in age.

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow railed against the "Beltway press" for pretending that the times are normal and that today's Republican Party and Republican officials will ever cooperate with Democrats on any legislation.

Maddow noted that Republicans are mad that Democrats are forming the Jan. 6 Select Committee after they voted down legislation that their own people negotiated with Democrats. The bill would have created a bipartisan commission to investigate the Capitol attack agreeing to the Republican demands. But the legislation was stopped. Now, Republicans are miffed that Democrats are forming a committee without their input or involvement.

Capt. Eddy Alarcon starts work at midnight as part of the non-stop crews fighting to find anyone alive in the collapsed condo in Surfside, Florida. Speaking to CNN, he broke down talking about his desperation to deliver for the families praying their loved ones are still alive.

Alarcon serves in the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue team, Florida Taskforce 1, as they're approaching the seventh day searching for anyone in the building.

Family members of Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) continue to demand action against their brother, who they believe is a white supremacist and helped plot the attack on the Capitol Jan. 6.

Speaking to MSNBC's Joy Reid, Dave Gosar noted that he wishes people would stop using the term "white nationalist" because it's nothing more than a polite way of saying "white supremacist."

Jennifer Weisselberg, the former daughter-in-law to Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg, assumed that he would flip on Donald Trump as he faced the investigations into the company. But on Tuesday, she told MSNBC host Ari Melber that after further thought, she thought better because there are things that he isn't even aware of.

Explaining that she thinks anything can change, she noted that his resistance to flip makes perfect sense given the world that he lives in.

Speaking about the expected indictments for the Trump Organization, MSNBC experts speculated about the charges they think Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance will issue.

According to Donald Trump's lawyer, however, the charges aren't that much and hardly match the expectations they assumed were forthcoming. In this case, the Trump Organization will face allegations of funneling money to staff to avoid taxes or as gifts. Trump personally is not expected to be charged in that case.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's (R-GA) latest conspiracy is that former Attorney General Bill Barr is secretly part of the anti-Trump resistance.

According to Greene, Barr knew that the 2020 election was won by Donald Trump, but refused to fight for him. It's for that reason that Greene thinks the GOP "audits" must continue, because they'll vindicate Trump's "Big Lie."

The Washington Post's David Fahrenthold appeared on MSNBC Monday to address the demand by Trump Organization attorneys to not file charges against the former president's business. There was a major deadline Monday for Trump's lawyers to give some kind of evidence that could get them out of criminal charges over the organization's financial dealings.

While many are angry about the tip for Trump Org., it isn't unheard of that the prosecutors would give a final option to a company like this, explained New York Law Professor Rebecca Roiphe. It happens more often in white-collar cases.
