Extremist election deniers and GOP lawmakers rally outside Colorado Capitol

Local and national leaders of a right-wing movement that seeks to violently overturn the results of the 2020 election rallied outside the Colorado Capitol on Tuesday, rehashing an array of baseless conspiracy theories and telling a crowd of hundreds of supporters that they’re fighting a “spiritual battle” against evil.

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, a close ally of former President Donald Trump and one of the country’s most prominent election deniers, headlined Tuesday’s rally, which also featured speeches from four sitting Colorado lawmakers and Mesa County Clerk and Recorder Tina Peters, who was indicted by a grand jury last month for her alleged role in allowing election conspiracy theorists to access secure voting equipment.

Steve Bannon's longtime 'consigliere' testifies before Jan. 6 committee: report

A longtime aide and spokesperson for Steve Bannon was interviewed by the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection this week.

Alexandra Preate, who has been described as Bannon's “consigliere" and reportedly worked with Donald Trump's White House staff on communications, was photographed at the "Stop the Steal" rally that preceded the attack on the U.S. Capitol, and two sources confirmed that she met with congressional investigators, reported Rolling Stone.

Republicans shredded for voting against Ukraine relief: They 'love Russia and hate America'

On Tuesday, writing for The Bulwark, Will Saletan demolished the handful of House Republicans who have consistently refused to support any effort to aid Ukraine against the brutal Russian invasion — a conflict rapidly escalating to murderous war crimes.

"Since Russia invaded Ukraine, the House of Representatives has voted on three measures specific to the war," noted Saletan: a resolution to endorse sanctions against Russia, a bill to ban oil and gas imports from Russia, and a bill to end favorable trade relations with Russia. Each time, several Republicans voted against it. On the sanctions and trade bills, only Republicans voted against it. Many of those who opposed at least one of the bills were frequent far-right allies of former President Donald Trump, like Reps. Paul Gosar (R-AZ), Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), and Madison Cawthorn (R-NC). One Republican, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), voted against every single one.

'Useless idiot' Lauren Boebert buried after attack on Disney crashes and burns

An attack by Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) on the Disney company fell flat on its face Monday as she tried to join the battle between the entertainment giant and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R).

With the conservative governor firing back at the company's plan to roll back the so-called "Don't Say Gay" bill, Boebert tried to make a case for a Republican Congress to go after Disney by stripping away a distinctive trademark -- that is not a trademark.

Congressman mocks Lauren Boebert for her attempted attack on Disney after misspelling Mickey Mouse

Many Republicans triggered by Disney's support of LGBTQ equality have decided that Congress should kill trademarks for the mega-conglomerate.

Oddly, liberals are just as furious at Disney World for their political action committee donations to Florida Republicans who pushed the so-called "Don't Say Gay" law.

MAGA populism is a 'con job' — here's why

Populism has long been an issue advocated by the left, focusing on benefiting "the people" over the top one percent or the "elites." Conservatives have tried to adopt their own version of the philosophy, but they've hit a wall in that they're actually more supportive of corporations and the elites.

Writing for the Daily Beast, Ben Burgis highlighted the recent vote to cap the cost of insulin at $35 as the perfect example that conservative populism was a lie. The loudest MAGA supporters all voted against the bill.

Bill Maher warns: Republicans running in 2022 midterms make the 2010 ‘kooks’ and ‘extremists’ look tame

Although comedian and “Real Time” host Bill Maher is a blistering critic of political correctness and “woke culture,” he is no fan of MAGA Republicans and former President Donald Trump. And during an early April monologue on “Real Time,” Maher warned that the far-right GOP “kooks” and “extremists” who are likely to take over the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2022 midterms make the Republican “kooks” of 2010 and 2012 look tame by comparison.

“We are now only seven months away from midterm elections that are poised to make the Republicans much more powerful,” Maher told viewers. “So, attention must be paid to where the Republican Party is right now. You’d think, with the left going a little looney over the past few years, Republicans would have seen an opening to grab the sensible center. But no…. Normal Republican crazy, where you just shoot guns at things you don’t like in your campaign ads — even that shit doesn’t cut it anymore… I look back at the Republican class of 2010 because that year has been held up as an example of Republican kookiness gone wild.”

Former Fox host says Sarah Palin can join the 'backbenchers' caucus in Congress 'who never do anything'

Sarah Palin made an announcement on April 1, but she wasn't joking. She is, in fact, running for Congress in Alaska, along with 40 other candidates. Palin has never fully disappeared, despite conservatives making themselves in her image. Speaking to CNN on Sunday, former Fox host Chris Stirewalk said that Palin would be the perfect addition to a kind of loser caucus that never actually accomplishes anything in Congress other than to "be famous."

Speaking to CNN's Jim Acosta, The Grio's April Ryan quoted LL Cool J, "Don't call it a comeback. I've been here for years."

Lauren Boebert's comparison of Kayleigh McEnany to Jen Psaki blows up in her face

Reacting to news that White House press secretary Jen Psaki will be leaving her post in the spring to take a position on MSNBC, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) attempted to make a comparison between President Joe Biden's spokesperson and Kayleigh McEnany who served under twice-impeached Donald Trump.

Needless to say, her stab at criticism didn't go well for her or McEnany as critics recalled McEnany's stormy tenure after promising reporters that she "would never lie."

Lauren Boebert thinks you should be at least 21 before coming out as LGBTQ

Republican U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) is jumping on the right's increasingly extremist anti-LGBTQ agenda, declaring Americans should have to be at least 21-years old before coming out as LGBTQ, and especially transgender.

"We require people to be 21 to purchase alcohol beverages, and 21 to purchase tobacco products," tweeted Boebert, the owner of Shooters Grill in Rifle, Colorado.

WATCH: Bill Maher scorches GOP's 2022 candidates as even crazier than the 2010 Tea Party wave

HBO "Real Time" host Bill Maher warned his viewers of the candidates that Republicans are fielding in the 2022 midterm elections.

The host noted, "we are now only seven months away midterm elections that are poised to make the Republicans much more powerful, so attention must be paid where the Republican Party is right now. You'd think with the left going a little loony after the past few years, Republicans would've seen an opening to grab the sensible center. But no."

WATCH: The View erupts in horror over Madison Cawthorn's GOP orgy allegations

The women of "The View" all agreed that Rep. Madison Cawthron (R-NC) is probably nuts.

Chatting along with conservative commentator Tara Setmayer, the co-hosts addressed the recent claims of drug use and sex parties in Congress. According to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), Cawthorn couldn't even keep his stories straight on the issue.

Roger Stone blasts ‘corrupt’ McCarthy and claims Madison Cawthorn still thinks the ‘drug-filled orgies’ are real

Longtime Donald Trump political adviser Roger Stone is drawing upon his self-professed expertise as a group sex participant to weigh in on the debate about allegations by Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) of drug use and orgies by members of Congress.

"Unlike some other far-right members of Congress — including Representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia and Lauren Boebert of Colorado, both of whom booed President Biden during his State of the Union speech — Mr. Cawthorn is also saddled with a yearslong series of hyperbolic claims about his personal life, raising questions about his honesty," The Washington Post reported Wednesday. "One of those claims finally set off his fellow House Republicans this week: a bizarre assertion he made on a conservative YouTube channel that people he 'looked up to' in Washington — presumably Republican lawmakers — invited him to orgies and used cocaine."
