According to a report from CNN on how things look on the ground in Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's Georgia district with the voters heading to the polls on Tuesday, there is growing discontentment with the controversial lawmaker among Republican voters and a bit of fear of the lawmaker for opposing her re-election.

As CNN's Simone Pathe reports, more than a few voters stated they like what Taylor Greene stands for before admitting they don't care for the way she has represented them or conducted herself since they sent to Congress in 2020.

HBO "Real Time" host Bill Maher was buried under an avalanche of criticism on Saturday after using his Friday night closing comments to ridicule trans kids and their need for gender-affirming care, saying they are only doing it because it's more "trendy" than being gay.

After suggesting the "LGBT population of America seems to be roughly doubling every generation," Maher added, " According to a recent Gallup poll, less than 1% of Americans born before 1946, that's Joe Biden's generation, identify that way, 2.6% of Boomers do, 4.2% of Gen X, 10.5% of Millennials and 20.8% of Gen Z, which means if we follow this trajectory, we will all be gay in 2054."

On Wednesday, nine House Republicans voted against a bill to help low-income families access baby food amid the nation's formula shortage, arguing that parents on federal food assistance benefits would be depriving middle-income families of the products they need as well. Now those same Republicans are defending their vote by pointing to America's most vulnerable families as the true cause of outrage.

The bill, dubbed the "Access to Baby Formula Act" (HR 7791), would allow the U.S. government to waive a number of restrictions for families on Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), which helps low-income families access baby food. Roughly half of all formula products are purchased through the program.

Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R-CO) received a sharp rebuke from a local media outlet this week for echoing an insidious racist conspiracy theory that appears to have inspired the suspected Buffalo gunman.

"The targeted killing of Black shoppers at a grocery store in Buffalo, New York, over the weeks is just the latest mass shooting apparently inspired by the baseless and racist replacement theory," said News 9 anchor Kyle Clark. "The idea that Jews and Democratic elites are trying to replace white Americans with people of color from other countries."

With just over a week to go before Election Day, a group of voters in Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Northwest Georgia district has renewed its challenge of her candidacy.

The voters claim Greene should be ineligible under the 14th Amendment because they say she was involved with the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot in Washington, which they contend amounted to a rebellion against the United States.
