The campaign gave bar owner, Quinn Gallagher, the cash at the end of July according to her campaign finance reports. The Aspen establishment, Hooch Craft Cocktail Bar, hosted a burlesque and drag show in January. It's unclear if Boebert knew Gallagher, who grew up in Bobert's hometown, during the January event. According to Boebert, they'd been dating for a few months.

How criminal cases are boosting Trump with some voters: 'It helps me like him more'

Donald Trump continuously portrays himself as a victim, and that message is sinking in with exactly the type of voters he'll need to win another term in the White House.

The former president has been indicted four times on 91 felony counts and found liable for business fraud and sexual assault, but he constantly portrays himself as a victim of a vast government conspiracy aimed not just at him but his supporters, and those claims are resonating outside his base with center-right voters who had been skeptical of him, reported the Washington Post.

While Republicans have spent decades campaigning against Democrats for power and control, on Thursday some are reportedly confessing that they need Democrats to fix the problem that is the fringe of their party.

Columnist Bill Kristol, who founded The Bulwark, posted on social media, "for what it's worth, this afternoon I've gotten a few calls and texts along the lines of, 'I hear so-and-so is open to working with Dems on the speakership, who do you think would be good to talk with him, etc.' Is it possible frustration among sane Republicans is hitting a tipping point...?"

'We might never elect a speaker': Republican House in complete disarray after meeting

Republicans emerged from the House conference meeting on Thursday afternoon in complete disarray.

While the GOP has been fighting for the better part of the year, after removing Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) as speaker, the caucus is so split on who the next one should be that no one can reach the 217 votes necessary to reach the position. Democrats have 212 votes for Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), who continues to have the most votes of any member in the House.

'Nail in the coffin' for Trump's Truth Social after nearly $200M investment cancelled

Donald Trump's shell company that aimed to take his media company public to the U.S. Stock Exchange is returning donor money, Reuters reported Thursday. It means they intend to "cancel all outstanding private investment in public equity (PIPE) investments."

Trump had a SPAC, a Special Purpose Acquisition Company, which is a time-limited (2 years) shell company that is publicly traded with the sole purpose of taking a private company public. He named it the Digital World Acquisition Corp (DWAC) and it planned to merge with Truth Social. Now that might be on hold.

Texas Republican tells GOP colleagues to resign if they won't back Scalise

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) has had little patience for his Republican colleagues as of late.

He's attacked the GOP for the party's "crazy candidate" choices, saying it was the reason they didn't have a "red wave" in the 2022 midterms. He has bashed the MAGA loyalists in the House for forcing the 15-vote removal on former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA). He then attacked Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) for doing the work of "Democrats."

The Republican shift from opposing war to saber rattling happened almost overnight after Israel was violently attacked from Gaza.

Burgis is known for his liberal beliefs and progressive philosophies, particularly about war.
