If you're wondering why Russia was called the Russian Olympic Committee during the Olympic Games in Tokyo, "Last Week Tonight" host John Oliver provided an explanation complete with humiliating videos of Russian athletes trying to pretend they weren't Russian.

Because of the state-sponsored doping scheme, Russia was banned from the games, so they came up with an alternative, simply changing the name of the "county" their athletes would compete under. No Russian anthem would be played. No Russian flag would be displayed, and the Russian athletes wouldn't be from Russia. It was absurd, as Oliver explained because Russia was still in the name of the "country" under which the athletes competed.

Dr. Jonathan Reiner told CNN Sunday that the COVID-19 viral load is so substantial in Florida that there are only two other places on the planet that are worse: Louisiana and Botswana.

Speaking to CNN's Jim Acosta, Dr. Reiner had a sharp warning for anyone traveling to the state in the next few weeks.

Former President Donald Trump's spokesperson Liz Harrington started a war on social media sites like Twitter and Parler after it was discovered Fox News edited out his election claims.

It has been several days but no matter how much work has been done, the Dixie Fire is still just 21 percent contained. It is the second-largest fire in state history, so far, said NPR. Thus far eight people are unaccounted for and the fires are still spreading.

The destruction path spans Butte, Plumas, Lassen and Tehama counties, according to CalFire. Thus far it has burned more than 463,000 acres, including homes, cars, farmland, historical sites and others.

A Colorado court ruled Wednesday that pro-Donald Trump lawyers not only lost their class-action lawsuit, but they are also now going to be sanctioned to pay for all of the legal fees for Facebook, Dominion Voting Systems, the states of Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia and Wisconsin, and the non-profit Center for Tech and Civic Life.

O'Donnell particularly enjoyed the point at which the judge shamed the Trump-loving lawyers for claiming something was a "fact" because the former president tweeted it.
