Steve Bannon, Donald Trump's former White House chief strategist, has been sentenced to four months in prison by a federal judge after being convicted of contempt of Congress.

Kyiv accused Russia of planning to destroy a hydroelectric dam in the eastern Kherson region, where Ukrainian soldiers have been steadily advancing and Moscow-installed authorities have begun evacuations.

Mark Finchem asks TV stations to pull ad saying he ‘helped organize’ Jan. 6

Mark Finchem, the Republican nominee for secretary of state, sent a cease-and-desist letter this week to Arizona television stations demanding that they stop airing an ad from his opponent that accuses him of organizing the Jan. 6 riot.

The ad, paid for by the Arizona Democratic Party and authorized by Finchem’s opponent, former Maricopa County Recorder Adrian Fontes, says that Finchem “helped organize the January 6 protests where police were attacked.”

On Thursday, Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett rejected an emergency application from a right-wing group in Wisconsin to block President Joe Biden's student loan relief plan, according to Bloomberg News court reporter Greg Stohr.

The Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty (WILL), had filed the application on behalf of the Brown County Taxpayers' Association, arguing the president lacked the authority to implement the program and further claiming that taxpayers are injured by the plan by having to pay for it with either inflation or future tax increases, relying on a rarely-used legal idea called the Major Questions Doctrine.

A close associate of retired Lt. General Michael Flynn was among the first wave of rioters who breached the outer barricades at the US Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, Raw Story has confirmed.

Brian Gamble, a US Navy veteran and QAnon promoter who now serves as chief information officer of a nonprofit led by Flynn, showed up at the barricades erected at the entrance to the Northwest Walkway about 30 minutes before a crowd that included hundreds of Proud Boys massed there and eventually overwhelmed police lines. Gamble’s presence has been described in podcasts by Tim Hart, a fellow QAnon promoter who accompanied Gamble on Jan. 6 and is currently facing two felony charges related to his involvement in the attack on the Capitol.

Escaped inmate accused of sending 'anthrax' threats to Biden and Jan. 6 committee chair

An escaped inmate in Pennsylvania has been accused of sending anthrax threats to President Joe Biden and the chairman of the Jan. 6 committee.

Robert Maverick Vargo, who ran off from a cleanup detail in July while awaiting trial on burglary, weapons and other counts, was charged with making threats against the president and a federal official from Luzerne County Correctional Center in Wilkes-Barre, where he's being held after he was recaptured, reported NBC News.
