Republican Lauren Boebert claims Equality Act would result in supremacy for 'transexhikes'

In conversation with former Trump adviser Steve Bannon on Wednesday, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) tied her tongue in knots trying to explain her opposition to the Equality Act, a bill that would enshrine in federal law anti-discrimination for sexual orientation and gender identity following a Supreme Court decision strengthening employment protections.

"The so-called Equality Act ... we all know that that's just the Democrats using a play on words," said Boebert, a pro-gun restauranteur from Rifle, Colorado, who has been accused of giving the Capitol rioters a tour. "There's nothing about equality in that act. If anything, it's the supremacy of gays, and lesbians, and, um — transexhikes [sic]. I mean, that's what this is about, it's about putting them higher than anyone else. It's not about equality."

Internet stunned by Don Trump Jr. rant about teachers' unions in front of a wall of guns

Commenters on Twitter were both baffled and stunned on Sunday over a clip of Donald Trump Jr. ranting about teachers' unions "failing students" by not forcing members to put their lives at risk during the COVID-19 pandemic while he stood before a wall displaying guns.

After first sarcastically repeating "follow the science follow the science," as part of an attack on President Joe Biden's attempt to clean up the COVID-19 mess left by his father, former President Donald Trump, the younger Trump attacked teachers and their unions.

What caused consternation, was his choice to launch the diatribe with guns -- whether toys or not -- in the background which called to mind a video of controversial Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) speaking with weapons haphazardly piled up behind her.

Trump Jr. was quickly called out for his curious background choice.
