Some GOP lawmakers, however, have complained that they find the measures intrusive. And according to Forbes reporter Andrew Solender, the House Ethics Committee has confirmed that two Republicans serving in the U.S. House of Representatives have been fined for evading security screenings at the House floor: Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas and Rep. Andrew Clyde of Georgia.

Acting House Sergeant-at-Arms Timothy Blodget, in letters sent to House Ethics Committee Chairman Ted Deutch, noted that in February, Gohmert was fined $5,000 and Clyde received two separate fines — one for $5,000, another for $10,000. Between the two, Clyde was fined $15,000. Those letters to Deutch were released by the House Ethics Committee on Thursday, according to Solender.

Jared Golden of Maine, voted against the relief package.

After being stripped of her committee assignments, Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene responded by repeatedly motioning to adjourn legislative debate, forcing House members to come to the floor and vote to remain in session -- a strategy that is infuriating Democrats and even members of her own party, according to The Washington Post.

This Wednesday, Greene moved to adjourn as the House was gearing up to debate the coronavirus relief package. Her motion was defeated, with 40 Republicans rebuking her.

"It's, you know, having these two classes of citizens, basically the ones that have taken the vaccine and then the supposedly 'bad people' that haven't taken the vaccine, I would be one of those people in that classification of of citizens, it's because, you know, myself, probably you and many others."

After Greene made her fourth motion to adjourn Congress, she retreated to her congressional office to record a 14-minute Facebook video for her followers. In the video, she blasted Republicans who are "annoyed" with her adjournment stunts.

A motion to adjourn requires the entire House to stop what they're doing and come to the floor to vote. It can delay proceedings by an hour, sometimes longer.

Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and several members of the House Freedom Caucus called for a roll call vote on group of suspension bills this week, forcing Democrats to delay votes on 13 uncontroversial pieces of legislation.

As CNN points out, it would have taken 10 hours to pass the bills with a roll call vote on each measure because of COVID-19 restrictions.
