UFO program warned about spying — but it seems they were ignored: counter-intel expert

The Pentagon program that was pushed by the late Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) was able to capture an extensive amount of data over the course of many years to show that there were unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) taped or photographed by military officials. When the report was published, some laughed it off as funny, but others focused on the piece that revealed that many of the unidentified flying objects could have been part of a foreign spying operation.

As more stories surface about foreign surveillance balloons being shot down from China and possibly even other countries, the question is being asked why no one was warned this was happening. According to New York Times Pentagon reporter Helene Cooper, they were. The problem is that they were all ignored.

Former GOP official mocks Trump for having stupid people around him giving him incredibly bad advice

Former Republican lawmaker, Rep. David Jolly (FL) explained that one of Donald Trump's biggest problems is that the people around him are giving him incredibly bad advice.

The most recent example is the excuse from Trump's lawyer on CNN Sunday in which he claimed that Trump had to have classified documents and folders in his bedroom because there was an annoying light on the phone that was keeping him awake. So, he used a classified folder to place over the light.

Trump will not be able to use the defense he thought there was a fraud — there’s too much evidence: legal expert

The panel discussion at the top of "Deadline White House" attacked the Justice Department for being slow to do something targeting Donald Trump around the Jan. 6 attack.

Pence's subpoena means 'criminal charges against Trump' for Jan. 6 'are close': legal expert

Former Vice President Mike Pence was subpoenaed last week by the Justice Department's special counsel, Jack Smith. According to legal experts, this is an indication that the special counsel is moving a lot faster than initially believed and that they're getting closer to Donald Trump.

Former FBI agent Peter Strzok warned last week that the Pence subpoena was the "last step" before they approached Donald Trump. A former federal prosecutor and Michigan Law School professor Barbara McQuade confirmed that idea to Newsweek.

Experts warn against GOP idea to raise Social Security retirement age

President Joe Biden got Republicans to agree that they would "stand up for seniors" during the State of the Union Address on Tuesday. After saying that Republicans wanted to gut the program along with Medicare, some GOP members feigned shock that anyone would link them to all of the previous efforts attempting to kill the programs started by Franklin D. Roosevelt's "New Deal."

Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) was heralded as an epic actor for his performance during the big speech because he was so aghast. A 2010 video of Lee showed him promising donors to his campaign that his only purpose as a Senator was to eliminate Medicare and Medicaid.

Trump's lawyer ridiculed after 'utterly insane' excuse for ex-president having classified folders by his bed

While Donald Trump's lawyer told CNN that his client had been cooperating since the beginning of the National Archives' effort to get documents back in February 2022, his other excuse is being ridiculed by those who saw the interview.

With a smirk, Trump's lawyer Timothy Parlatore said there's a light on the phone near Donald Trump's bed at Mar-a-Lago. The light is annoying, and evidently, the only thing that he could find to cover up the light was a classified document folder.

Trump's lawyer claims DOJ is lying about president not cooperating: He said 'anything else you need'

Donald Trump's lawyer spoke to CNN on Sunday afternoon blaming the Justice Department for the reason that the former president didn't immediately hand over the documents he had. A new search revealed this week that Trump had a laptop and thumb drives with classified information on them.

With very little pushback during the interview, CNN's Paula Reid noted that the difference between Donald Trump and people like President Joe Biden and former Vice President Mike Pence is that they were happy to cooperate from the beginning when Trump was not.

High altitude object shot down over Lake Huron: report

UPDATE: In a statement, the Pentagon said: "An F-16 fired an AIM9x to successfully shoot down an airborne object flying at approximately 20,000 feet altitude in the U.S. airspace over Lake Huron in the state of Michigan. Its path and altitude raised concerns, including that it could be a hazard to civil aviation.... Based on its flight path and data we can reasonably connect this object to the radar signal picked up over Montana, which flew in proximity to sensitive DOD sites."

Millionaires' tax dodge attempt ended up costing them $3.5 million

Republicans have complained that hiring more IRS agents means that more middle-class Americans will end up being audited. The IRS has instead said that they're struggling to go after the wealthiest taxpayers because it means a protracted legal battle and court fees.

The Wall Street Journal reported JR and Loren Ridinger really wanted a new yacht, but they needed to get rid of their old one. So they decided to "donate" the 116-foot Utopia II and score a mega tax deduction. The problem is that it's difficult to find a good charity to hand over a yacht. Goodwill will take gently used items like clothes and home goods but not yachts.

Air space over Lake Michigan reopened after FAA closed it for 'national defense purposes'

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) told ABC News Sunday that there have been a few other balloons that have been found over the United States and Canada. They were all smaller than the first one, he explained.

But as of Sunday afternoon, it was revealed that the FAA sent out a NOTAM shutting down air space over Lake Michigan for what they said was related to "national defense." The NOTAM is "a notice containing information essential to personnel concerned with flight operations but not known far enough in advance to be publicized by other means," the FAA explains on its website.
