Conservative mocked for 2020 tweet implying COVID is fake because there were few deaths in India

Conservative pundit Candace Owens is being mocked for an April 2020 tweet that hasn't aged well.

Owens implied at the time that COVID-19 wasn't all that serious because Indians were packed closely together but had under 200 deaths. A year later, it is becoming clear that COVID-19 has made it to the country as hospitals are overrun with dying patients.

The View's Meghan McCain gets schooled by Sunny Hostin after blaming Democrats for conservative anti-vaxxers

"The View" co-host Meghan McCain blamed Democrats for what she called "bad messaging" around masks and the vaccine as the coronavirus pandemic enters its next phase.

According to McCain, saying that people still have to wear masks despite being vaccinated gives conservatives no incentive to get the vaccine to begin with. The goal of the coronavirus vaccine is to prevent people from dying or being hospitalized with severe cases of the virus. Presumably, that would be the incentive for being vaccinated — to avoid death. But that isn't enough of an incentive for some conservatives, McCain argued.

Teen Vogue argues Matt Gaetz is just another case of rich ‘frat-boy culture’ excused as 'locker room' behavior

The long and twisted tales of Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) started with the news of his "get-out-of-jail-free card" after a DUI while serving in the state legislature. The bro-world that he represents is part of a larger problem, Teen Vogue argued, that is bleeding into life outside of college.

Writing Monday, Hope Corrigan explained that the typical culture created by college fraternities isn't supposed to make it past graduation. Instead, it has become somehow acceptable to continue the reckless behavior and "casual misogyny" in the "adult" world.

Lincoln Project has one more ad to troll Trump and his 'tiny hands' before he leaves Florida for the summer

Former President Donald Trump's Florida club, Mar-a-Lago, closes over the summer because they're unable to accommodate people in the heat and humidity. So, he's headed up to his other club in Bedminster, New Jersey, where the heat isn't as bad.

But before he leaves, The Lincoln Project is hitting him with one more ad for the area that will flood his airwaves. The ads first began in early April, when the group of former GOP consultants targeted Trump with a message about Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) shoving him out of Republican influence. Trump, who has attacked McConnell since leaving office, is building the Republican Party without the influence of the former president.

John Oliver was shocked Rudy Giuliani didn't accidentally live stream his FBI raid by sitting on his phone

Rudy Giuliani was raided by the FBI this week in what has proved to be the latest example of (alleged) inept criminal behavior by one of former President Donald Trump's closest advisers.

Giuliani is the target of an investigation by the US attorney's office in Manhattan surrounding his dealings in Ukraine while trying to drum up scandals about former President Joe Biden and any role he played in the firing of Marie Yovanovitch, Trump's former ambassador to Ukraine. Ironically, the investigation wasn't started under the Merrick Garland Justice Department, it began while Bill Barr was the attorney general. There was an internal debate whether or not to serve a search warrant for Giuliani in the final weeks of the Trump presidency, the Associated Press reported Friday.

The GOP claim that they'll negotiate with Biden on infrastructure is another Republican lie: columnist

Republicans have told President Joe Biden that they're ready, willing and eager to negotiate with him on the spending and funding of his landmark infrastructure plan. The problem, however, is that they won't negotiate with Biden on the spending and funding mechanism of the plan.

Writing for the Washington Post Sunday, columnist James Downie noted that the GOP claims that it wants to be part of the solution, but only if it means they get everything they want and Democrats don't get anything.
