MSNBC's Joe Scarborough ripped Fox News broadcasters for sowing "COVID confusion" and putting their viewers' lives at risk.

The Food and Drug Administration was forced to issue a warning against taking the veterinary drug ivermectin to treat the coronavirus, and the "Morning Joe" host blamed conservative media hosts for spreading misinformation about the pandemic.

An exclusive report from the San Jose Mercury News revealed that death records indicate that an unknown respiratory virus contributed to fatalities in Jan. 2020 in California, Alabama, Georgia, Kansas, Oklahoma and Wisconsin.

The first reported case was said to be just outside of Seattle, Washington in early January after a man flew to the state from China while ill. He survived the virus after being hospitalized for ten days.

A Portland Tribune reporter appeared to capture gunfire as it erupted near protesters in downtown Portland Sunday evening. The report explained that one if not two people appeared to be shooting a gun after the KMart parking lot clash.

About 100 far-right protesters, including members of the Proud Boys militia, demonstrated outside of a closed KMart building in northeast Portland Oregon Sunday. After some time, counter-protesters came into the parking lot, making the crowd swell to approximately 300, according to observers. And that's when all hell broke loose

Oregon Live reported that "a person clad in black was seen at the waterfront carrying what appeared to be a rifle and bullets. It was not immediately clear whether the rifle could have been a replica."

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) appeared on CNN Sunday to complain about President Joe Biden's withdrawal of Afghanistan, but he ended up "disgusting" the host after a comment about a woman radio host Larry Elder threatened.

Issa began the segment by telling CNN's Jim Acosta that Biden has rejected everything that former President Donald Trump did. Acosta then pointed out that Biden didn't reject the peace agreement with the Taliban that Trump and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo negotiated.

Fox News host Sean Hannity had a brief moment in which he begged his audience to get vaccinated to avoid catching COVID-19. Hannity even went so far as to say he believed in science. Just three days later, Hannity was back to saying that he never told anyone to get a vaccine.

MSNBC host Ari Melber this week pointed out that Hannity, a month later, now is promoting theories that "the science shows the vaccine won't protect you. It's not protecting many people." One study showed that the vaccine gives someone 80 percent protection from the virus killing a person. But with the more severe delta variant, the virus is more transmissible and appears to be able to take people down faster.

Starting off CNN's early show, host John Avlon read the statement released from Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) after an alleged bomber threatened to blow up the U.S. Capitol and Library of Congress Thursday.

When the five-hour stand-off had concluded, Brooks released a statement calling the man a terrorist, but then empathized with his strife.

MSNBC commentator Frank Figliuzzi told MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace that he hasn't seen terror threats at this level since Sept. 11 and the early 2000s.

Addressing the recent suspect at the U.S. Capitol who claimed to have a bomb, Figliuzzi said that learning about the man, in this case, will be crucial to learning about and predicting the next potential terrorist act.

Floyd Ray Roseberry, who appears to be the suspect sitting in his pickup truck outside the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. with an alleged explosive device, posted several videos of his drive to the building Thursday on social media.

In an interview with Newsmax on Wednesday, former President Donald Trump continued his attacks on the social media site Twitter, which banned him after the attack on the U.S. Capitol and he left office.

"It's disgraceful whenever you suppose that you've got killers and muggers and dictators and horrible … some horrible dictators and nations, and they're all on however the president of the United States, who had a whole bunch of hundreds of thousands of individuals, by the method, he will get taken off," Trump said in a phone interview.

NBC News reporter Scott MacFarlane reported Tuesday that a Washington, D.C. city planning website that had maps detailing the tunnels under the U.S. Capitol saw a dramatic increase in traffic.

Speaking to MSNBC on Wednesday, MacFarlane explained that there was at least a 40 percent increase in traffic coming from all over the country, where the website is typically only read by people in the D.C., Virginia and Maryland area. The traffic then "grew and grew," he said, it "was off the charts."

The chaos in Afghanistan as the United States leaves was expected by President Joe Biden, according to an interview with ABC News. But other military experts claim that it wasn't and that the steps taken ahead of this week laid the groundwork for chaos.

MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace showed a clip of CNN International from Tuesday evening in which President Donald Trump's former Secretary of Defense, Mark Esper, explained that it was clear this was all going to happen.

In an exclusive interview with ABC's George Stephanopoulos, President Joe Biden revealed that he always expected the withdrawal from Afghanistan would result in the kind of chaos that was witnessed on television over the past few days.

"So you don't think this could have been handled -- this exit could have been handled better in any way, no mistakes?" asked Stephanopoulos.
