Several hours ago, the "Leave it to Beaver" star was announced to have passed at 77 years old, but now the management company that represents him has pulled the statement.

The House Select Committee investigating the January 6 attack on the U.S. Congress on Tuesday released another excerpt of testimony they gathered from former officials in Donald Trump's administration.

Speaking to MSNBC on Tuesday, Punchbowl News reporter Jake Sherman explained that House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has no one to blame but himself for the GOP's inability to fight back against the House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on Congress.

McCarthy, along with several other Republicans, have complained that there's no way to have their own say about the evidence being presented in public hearings. Sherman recalled that McCarthy had the chance to have his members on the committee, but he refused. He appointed Reps. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Jim Banks (R-IN) along with three others. Speaker Pelosi vetoed Jordan and Banks but not the other three. McCarthy claimed it was all or nothing and walked away from the committee.

First MAGA rioter charged with attacking cops and media faces 3-4 years in prison

A Pennsylvanian pleaded guilty today to assault charges related to attacks on both Capitol police and members of the media at the January 6 riot in Washington D.C.

Alan William Byerly, 55, of Fleetwood, Pennsylvania, faced a prison sentence of 37 to 46 months if U.S. District Judge Randolph Moss follows federal sentencing guidelines recommended as part of his guilty plea. His sentencing is set for October 21.

Judge blocks North Carolina law that bans lying in political ads

The Associated Press revealed that a federal judge ruled to block the enforcement of a state law that involves a political ad from North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein.

The law North Carolina passed makes it illegal to knowingly publish or promote false information about a candidate intending to hurt them. That led to an investigation into Stein about rape kits being ignored.

Illinois Republicans are targeting Adam Kinzinger — even though he's leaving office

Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) announced that he wouldn't run for reelection in 2022 after years of being Donald Trump's punching bag. While Kinzinger is on his way out the door, however, Republican members from the southern part of his state are looking to give him a quick kick too.

The Chicago Tribune reported that GOP candidate for governor Darren Bailey demanded the Illinois Republican Party censure Kinzinger for his participation in the House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on Congress and the attempt to overthrow the 2020 election. Bailey is supported by Trump though it's unclear if the demand came from the former president.

Pennsylvania Republican attends gay son's wedding days after voting against marriage equality

Pennslyvania Republican Rep. Glenn Thompson's son got married on Friday and his father was there with support. Yet, when given the opportunity to codify the right for his son to be married, he voted it down.

Gawker was the first to reveal the nuptials but NBC News explained that Rep. Thompson's son confirmed he "married the love of [his] life" on Friday evening and that his "father was there." They noted that they wouldn't publish the son's name for his own privacy.

The San Francisco Chronicle revealed that there are some hefty donors that typically give to Democrats who are now bankrolling some Republican candidates that are advocating for crypto-currencies.
