Former Rep. David Jolly (R-FL) asked former Donald Trump lawyer Michael Cohen about a comment he made about the "real weaponization" that happened under the Justice Department when Attorney General Bill Barr was in charge.

Republicans have started their own House committee against the "weaponization of the federal government" alleging that under Joe Biden the Justice Department has gone after Republicans.

During a House hearing on Wednesday, Rep. Summer Lee (D-PA) pointed out that social media accounts are actually giving conservatives an edge on their platforms because there has been such an uprising.

She noted that the hearing "would be funny if it weren't real life. I understand my colleagues on the other side of the aisle want to be victims so very badly but if I understand correctly, public criticism and allegations of anti-conservative bias are actually making Twitter and other social media companies less willing to enforce their own policies against political conservatives; correct?"

Rep. Daniel Goldman (D-NY) clashed with House Oversight Committee chairman James Comer (R-KY) on Wednesday over allegations of corruption involving President Joe Biden and his son.

Sanders, who was at that time Trump's press spokesperson, said the soldier told her, “'Sarah, you have a tough job.'

During the State of the Union Address, President Joe Biden was able to get Republicans to stand apparently in support of Social Security and Medicare – programs considered by many to be on the table as part of debt ceiling negotiations.

"This speech was long in word count, but it was delivered with a lot of energy and a lot of pace, and a combativeness and liveliness that I am not sure that we have ever seen in this particular type of presidential address," said MSNBC's Rachel Maddow.

George Santos (R-NY) got to the House chamber earlier than anyone else, even reporters and set himself up on the aisle so he could shake hands with those who came in. Santos appeared to be trying to talk to Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) but it appeared that Romney had no interest in speaking to him, turning his back.

A video released by the Lincoln Project ahead of the State of the Union Address explores the state of the Republican Party. It used clips of Speaker Kevin McCarthy's (R-CA) video published Monday ranting about problems without providing any solutions.

It showed clips of Republicans ranting about whether the next China balloon would have a "virus" inside of it and asked whether it took off from Wuhan, the city where the COVID-19 pandemic is thought to have originated.

The first was the speech by former Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana in 2009 that essentially ended his political career.
