For America to reach "herd immunity" from the COVID-19 crisis 70 percent of Americans must be vaccinated. While many Americans are fighting to get their shot, conspiracy theorists are pushing anti-vaccine lies. One, is Louisiana Pastor Tony Spell, ironically of the Life Tabernacle Church.

The pastor isn't alone, the largest group of anti-vaccine people are far-right, white, evangelical Christians, which accounts for one-fourth of the United States. It's all being driven by distrust in the government, perpetuated by former President Donald Trump, who was vaccinated in January before leaving office.

More than 50 parents showed up for a Michigan school board meeting demanding an end to mask rules inside classrooms despite a statewide surge in new coronavirus infections.

The parents began banging on the doors to the auditorium where the Hudsonville Board of Education meeting was held Thursday evening after many of them were denied entrance due to social distancing requirements, and one mother said she didn't understand why parents weren't allowed into school buildings, reported MLive.

It has taken five years, but former lead prosecutor for special counsel Robert Muller explained why the evidence is clear.

A new analysis from the Washington Post revealed that over the course of 78 minutes during the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, police called for backup 17 times and were ignored.

Using the audio of the police radio channels, the Post walked through how those audio pieces from the radio matched with footage on the ground as President Donald Trump's supporters made their way to the U.S. Capitol, breached the perimeter and ultimately the doors of the building.

For the second night in a row, sometimes Fox News host Geraldo Rivera battled with Rush Limbaugh's replacement Dan Bongino. On Tuesday night, the two men joined Sean Hannity's show, where the host surprisingly appeared as the reasonable one.

At one point, Rivera called Bongino a "son of a b*tch" and a punk after Bongino attacked Geraldo for calling out the racism that leads to police brutality.

"Late Night" host Seth Meyers went after Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Josh Hawley (R-MO), and Mike Lee (R-UT) for their decision to cancel free speech for corporations that anger them.

"Yeah, sure, Republicans are totally having their eyes opened to dangerous corporations after they shoveled $2 trillion in tax cuts into the pockets of corporations like Amazon, which, by the way, paid zero in federal income taxes in 2018, thanks in part to the GOP tax cut," said Meyers.

New Jersey resident Arnett Thomas has filed a federal class-action lawsuit against former President Donald Trump claiming there was an excess in deaths of Americans with his leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Speaking to NorthJersey.com, Thomas explained that there were hundreds of doctors, epidemiologists and others saying that the virus was dangerous but under Trump, "it essentially was a failed experiment."

Politico reporter Marc Caputo did an update for MSNBC's Ari Melber about Wednesday's developments in the ongoing saga of Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and whether he is or isn't being indicted.

The news this morning was that the Justice Department asked Gaetz for his cell phone, which he handed over. More information has been revealed about the Bahamas trip with hand-surgeon and marijuana entrepreneur Jason Pirozzolo who made the invitation and paid for the trip. There were at least five women on the trip and according to one of them, they were all over 18 and no prostitution was involved.

Olivia Troye, the former national security and homeland security adviser to Vice President Mike Pence, prophesied that Republicans directly involved with perpetuating the lie that inspired the Jan. 6 attack, will try to downplay their actions during the hearing this week.

Speaking to MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace on Wednesday, Troye referenced the Capitol attack report published by the inspector general. In it, the IG says that the "Stop the Steal" rally had a "propensity to attract white supremacists, militia and groups prone to violence."
