Speaking to MSNBC's Mehdi Hasan on Sunday, Rep. Mondaire Jones (D-NY), a Harvard Law School graduate, explained that Congress could protect the freedoms of women and his plan doesn't have anything to do with an attempt to overthrow the government.

"I knew that we would arrive at this point," Jones explained. "My colleagues scoffed at me at the time that I introduced the bill, in April of 2021. Of course, the American people are on our side, when you look at poll after poll. And thankfully, we do have about 58 House members who are supportive of adding four seats to the Supreme Court, but that is not nearly enough. We can pass the Women's Health Protection Act, after getting rid of the filibuster, which we obviously need to do. But this Supreme Court has shown a willingness to strike down newly enacted laws by Congress. They did so with the decision after decision of the Voting Rights Act, which has been reauthorized nearly unanimously. I'm under no illusions anything short of court reform, specifically adding seats to the Supreme Court, is going to preserve fundamental rights permanently."

Former impeachment lawyer and White House ethics czar Norm Eisen explained that there's a battle of facts between former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson and former White House Deputy Chief of Staff Anthony Ornato.

Ornato previously served as a Secret Service Agent, but was appointed by Trump to serve in the White House and ultimately took a leave of absence from the agency. Ornato has not testified publicly before the House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on Congress and the attempt to overthrow the election. Cassidy Hutchinson has testified for over 20 hours in addition to the four hours in a public hearing last week.

The longtime partner of slain Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick was aghast after hearing the testimony of Cassidy Hutchinson last Tuesday before the House Select Committee investigating the attack on Congress and attempt to overthrow the election.

“That selfish bastard," said Sandra Garza of former President Donald Trump. She and Sicknick once supported Trump and his presidency, but after Jan. 6, 2021, that changed, WUSA reported Sunday.

The revelation that individuals connected to Donald Trump had reached out to pressure witnesses in the Jan. 6 investigation poses a legal risk to the former president, according to former prosecutors.

The House select committee revealed two messages received by witnesses in the investigation, including former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson, that indicated Trump was following their testimony and expecting loyalty, and former prosecutor Michael Moore told CNN how that posed a risk of legal jeopardy.

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) revealed on Tuesday that there have been people in former President Donald Trump's orbit sending messages or leaving voice mails that could be considered witness tampering.

"[A person] let me know you have your deposition tomorrow. He wants me to let you know that he's thinking about you..." one note begins. The "he" implied is that it's Donald Trump. Another witness testified that "Trump does read transcripts and just to keep that in mind as I proceeded through my depositions and interviews with the committee."

Whoopi Goldberg said that she's ready to expand the court because the one tradition of the Supreme Court is that it is in balance and serves as the point of reason for the country. That's no longer the case, she argued, saying that it has been thrown completely out of balance.

A reporter who has written a book on the Secret Service shredded the credibility of a former agent who has pushed back against Cassidy Hutchinson's bombshell testimony.

The former White House aide testified that Tony Ornato, who moved from the Secret Service to deputy chief of staff, told her that Donald Trump became irate when his security detail would not take him to the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, and lunged for the steering wheel of his armored SUV and physically attacked his lead agent, and Washington Post reporter Carol Leonnig poured cold water on his denials.

Cassidy Hutchinson's testimony has moved the Jan. 6 investigation forward in important ways, according to a reporter who has been covering the insurrection.

The Washington Post reporter who won a Pulitzer for her stories on the Secret Service on Wednesday questioned why agents had not apprehended pro-Trump insurrectionists who brought weapons to the U.S. Capitol.

"Individuals who were with Donald Trump on Jan. 6th essentially did their job," Carol D. Leonnig said during an appearance on MSNBC. "They blocked the president despite him apparently roaring in their faces from going with the rabble, the mob that was heading to the Capitol. They said no, sir, cannot do that insane thing that you are proposing. So, that is, check. Mission accomplished. You know, their civil servant job performed. However, there is a problem in all of this which is the Secret Service uniformly kept enabling Donald Trump all along the way in the final year of his office. Doing things that were extremely dangerous and to his own agents, to his own health, to the health and safety of peaceful protesters."

Former U.S. Attorney and Deputy Assistant Attorney General Harry Litman explained Wednesday on MSNBC that Cassidy Hutchinson's testimony before the House Select Committee was a "game-changer."

Hutchinson was a top aide in the White House in the lead-up to the attempt to overthrow the 2020 election and the attack on Congress on Jan. 6. Speaking under oath to the committee on Tuesday, she linked her former boss, then-chief of staff Mark Meadows to first-hand knowledge about several possible conspiracies.

When NBC News went to a crisis pregnancy center across from Planned Parenthood, what they told producers outright shocked two female lawmakers, one a Republican and another a Democrat. Taxpayer dollars go to the facilities and in the case of Texas, $100 million is being spent on the clinics in 2022 and 2023, public records showed. Frequently such offices lie that abortions cause infertility.

New testimony shows former President Donald Trump directed his supporters to the U.S. Capitol to attempt a violent coup, according to a presidential historian.

Historian Michael Beschloss told MSNBC's "Morning Joe" that former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson had revealed shocking evidence that the former president was risking "mass assassinations" of Vice President Mike Pence and Congress members in his attempt to violently overturn his election loss on Jan. 6, 2021.
