Federal law enforcement has raided the home of a high-ranking Homeland Security official who is a 26-year veteran with the department.

According to The Detroit News, Vance Callender, who monitors Michigan and Ohio, handles the Canadian border along with other crimes involving child sex crimes and immigration laws. He hasn't been charged with any wrongdoing but it's certainly prompting questions from the security community.

New York Attorney General Letitia James subpoenaed records from the D.C. Trump Hotel as part of the next steps in the financial probe of the Trump Organization.

The Washington Post reported Tuesday that James is requesting information about how the General Services Administration chose Trump to lead the old Post Office project when he began developing it.

Former President Donald Trump released a statement Tuesday continuing his attacks on the 2020 election that he continues to claim was stolen. This time, however, he turned his eyes toward his former vice president. If Republicans take back the House in November, Trump wants them to focus on investigating Mike Pence and why he refused to overturn the election.

"So pathetic to watch the Unselect Committee of political hacks, liars, and traitors work so feverishly to alter the Electoral College Act so that a Vice President cannot ensure the honest results of the election, when just one year ago they said that 'the Vice President has absolutely no right to ensure the true outcome or results of an election,'" Trump said through his spokesperson.

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), who serves on the House Select Committee on the Jan. 6 attack, said Tuesday that former President Donald Trump went after his Republican allies just as he did Democrats.

Speaking to MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle, Raskin explained that the committee is "closing in on the target if the target is the truth." What has become clear is that "the violent insurrection was directed as much at his -- some of his Republican allies — as it was against the Democrats and against the Constitution. He wanted to make sure that they went through with his plan, and that's why he unleashed the violence against them."

The Miami Herald Editorial Board condemned Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) for refusing to denounce Nazis protesting in his state when asked about it.

Orlando was flooded with Nazis protesting across the I-4 roadway over the weekend and when asked about it, DeSantis claimed that the Nazis protesting in Florida were just a "distraction from the failure we see from [Joe] Biden."

The New York Times published a bombshell report Monday that exposed more of former President Donald Trump's efforts to overthrow the 2020 election. In one instance, the report says, Trump begged Rudy Giuliani to call the Department of Homeland Security and ask about having the military seize voting machines. His aides also penned multiple executive orders to enact the same.

As the news broke, legal experts were somewhat surprised, but the crux of the story about Trump's further attempt to overthrow the election was simply more of the same that experts have observed. What some did find shocking, however, was that it was Giuliani who told Trump a military takeover wouldn't fly. Giuliani isn't generally known to political or legal pundits as the prudent adviser among Trump's aides.

Reporter Ashley Parker said that the bombshell reporting from the New York Times brings the attempt to overthrow the election even closer to former President Donald Trump. Others, however, are claiming that this is just part of the narrative that is already known but not fully acknowledged by the Republican Party.

Speaking to "The 11th Hour" on Monday, Parker told Ali Velshi, "we knew there were some of these order ideas floating around." Trump staff had crafted two different executive orders that would have given the DOD the power to seize the voting machines from states that Trump took issue with.

The author of the infamous "coup memo," John Eastman, is being accused of intentionally delaying the House Select Committee's subpoena over Jan. 6 information.

According to Politico, which has recently been taken over by a far-right German publisher, despite his defeat in court, Eastman is still trying to drag the process out, saying it will take him 13 weeks to provide the documents requested.

Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) has gone from a lefty activist to a Republican darling in less than a year, and it appears some GOP donors are paying for the influence, Rolling Stone reported Monday.

"According to new FEC filings, Sinema brought in $1.6 million in Q4, only $33,983 of which was unitemized, which designates donations of less than $200 (i.e., ones from ordinary people)," the report said.

In an exclusive report Monday, CNN.com revealed that there was more than one executive order prepared by allies of former President Donald Trump to seize voting machines.

The effort was part of a plan by Ret. Col. Phil Waldron and Ret. Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, sources told CNN, who were both big backers of Trump's false claims about the election being stolen.

Former President George W. Bush is willing to put his money where his mouth is when it comes to standing up to former President Donald Trump.

Politico reports that Bush has gone beyond his efforts to help Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), as well as other impeachment-backing Republicans being targeted by Trump.

Anti-Trump conservative lawyer George Conway joined former federal prosecutor Joyce White Vance on MSNBC Monday to discuss former President Donald Trump's admission that he wanted Vice President Mike Pence to "overturn" the results of the 2020 election.

"Every so often, when it comes to his bad intent, he tells the truth," Conway told CNN Monday morning. "He wanted to end constitutional democracy in the United States. And he's just out and out admitting it now."
