On the one-year anniversary of the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. government, Capitol and officials and staff there, former chief of staff for first lady Melania Trump, Stephanie Grisham, spoke to CNN about what she witnessed.

While many Republican officials were horrified on that day, over time their opinions have changed. One of those people is Mrs. Trump, according to Grisham.

In his Wednesday speech before the Justice Department, Attorney General Merrick Garland noted that he and the lawyers at the DOJ would prosecute everyone involved in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol "at any level."

The quote was something that former White House lawyer John Dean saw as an indication that Garland is willing to prosecute former President Donald Trump or even members of Congress if the evidence shows that they committed a crime.

As the Jan. 6 anniversary approaches, much has been discovered about the thousands of Americans who broke through the barriers, bashed in windows and assaulted police officers at the U.S. Capitol.

Religious Dispatches writer Robert Jones looked into the merger between white supremacy and white evangelism as "Jesus Saves" signs and "Jesus 2020" and the Christian flag mixed among the Donald Trump campaign signs and MAGA hats. In fact, at one point, the Christian flag was paraded through the congressional chamber after officials had been evacuated to safety. Fox host Sean Hannity is expected to be called to testify before the House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, but an MSNBC panel speculated he may not show if Donald Trump flexes his muscle.

Informal adviser to former President Donald Trump and Fox News host Sean Hannity is among those being called by the House Select Committee on the Capitol attack, reported Axios Tuesday.

One senior aide even went so far as to sarcastically claim that Hannity was the "real chief of staff." So, when the attack on the Capitol happened, the Fox host was among the voices that tried to reach Trump.

TMZ revealed a video of "Waterboy" actor Peter Dante having a meltdown when asked to wear a mask. He refused, so the restaurant refused to serve him.

Dante was out for Korean BBQ and went to a Los Angeles restaurant that has a sign up saying "No Mask No Entry." He got in the face of the hostess, calling her "garbage" and a "c*nt" before demanding to speak to the manager.

New financial documents reveal that a Democratic consulting company was being used to funnel money to a Trump-connected lobbying firm running the campaign.
