Two days in a row this week, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) was asked the exact same question and he never could quite figure out how to answer it. It's a pretty simple question: Did you speak to President Donald Trump on Jan. 6?

It's very clear that Jordan did, in fact, speak to Trump that day, but for some reason, he couldn't figure out how to answer the question.

Republicans lined up to promote the infrastructure agreement in the Senate Sunday night. Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH) was the first, predicting that his colleagues were about to trash the bill as a huge spending bill, an addition to the already ballooning deficits and something that would likely cause inflation.

Portman could have written Sen. Mike Lee's (R-UT) speech himself based on the predictions. Lee ranted that the U.S. is bringing in about $3 trillion while its spending $4 trillion and that it can't sustain the spending.

Fox News allowed Lara Trump to fill in Sunday for one of its afternoon shows. She ranted about a Facebook ad response that has been twisted into a conspiracy theory and then lashed out at an American Olympian.

Olympic athlete Gwen Berry said she would protest the American National Anthem if she wins a medal in the hammer throw. Many Black athletes have protested during the National Anthem dating back decades, but when President Donald Trump lashed out at them, his flock of fans followed, including his daughter-in-law.

Charles Hurt boasts an extensive resume for conservative commentary at The Washington Times, Fox News, Breitbart, and as a Drudge Report editor. Speaking to Fox News on Sunday, he suggested that anyone who calls 911 for help should be ignored if they have issues with the police.

His complaint came as part of an argument about Facebook advertising policies when an ad from the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police was blocked. The ad promoted their Officer of the Year award, but their Facebook account wasn't set up for advertising and hadn't been approved ahead of their post.

MSNBC's Joe Scarborough blasted House minority leader Kevin McCarthy as the "dumbest man in Washington" for joining the fight against mask mandates inside the U.S. Capitol.

Republican lawmakers have bristled at the reinstatement of mask orders at the Capitol, and the "Morning Joe" host called out McCarthy for attacking House Speaker Nancy Pelosi over the mandate instead of encouraging vaccine-hesitant GOP officials to get their shots and take other precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The pair each voted to impeach Donald Trump for a second time, and they are the only two Republicans serving on the House select committee to investigate the Jan. 6 insurrection, which Boebert has been accused of aiding by leading Capitol tours ahead of the riot and tweeting the location of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi during the siege.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) attacked Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin for wearing a mask and face shield when arriving in the Phillippines.

"Embarrassing COVID theatre," Rubio called it.

"The View's" Meghan McCain fumbled trying to explain why she was furious about being forced to wear a mask again.

McCain, who moved to Washington, D.C. noted that despite the high vaccination rate, the city is ushering in another mask mandate.

Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) hammered one of President Joe Biden's nominees, demanding to know about his religion.

In the Senate Judiciary Committee Thursday, Justice Department nominee Hampton Dellinger was berated by Kennedy, who asked, "Do you believe in God?"

Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) says he thinks it's important for people to hear the homophobic, racist and threatening voicemail that a Donald Trump supporter left for Capitol police officer Michael Fanone in response to his testimony Tuesday before the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection.

"Michael Fanone considers himself a Republican, but he stood here and he defended the Constitution, he defended this institution, and to have people call him and call him the names they did, tell him [they] wish he's dead, it's unfortunately par for the course for some people, but I think it's important for it to be out there for people to see the kind of vitriol that exists simply for somebody telling the truth and defending freedom," Kinzinger told TMZ on Wednesday.

Former Republican strategists and Lincoln Project advisers Tara Setmayer and Rick Wilson broke down talking about the cruelty that Washington police are experiencing as they speak out against the attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Setmayer explained that her husband is a Black federal officer. Her grandfather, she said, served as a police officer for 40 years.

Former federal prosecutor Elie Honig speculated with Michael Cohen that Tom Barrack could reasonably be tried for treason after his off-the-books work for the UAE.

Barrack was arrested this month on the allegations that he was acting as a foreign agent when he was trying to influence former President Donald Trump. Another word for a "foreign agent" is a spy. For people like Barrack, if one is working with another country on lobbying the United States or attempting to influence policy, they must register with the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). Barrack didn't do that.
