Is Steve Bannon about to be indicted? Legal analyst thinks this case provides an important clue

Legal analyst Marcy Wheeler noticed a small detail in the hearing in the case of Tom Barrack on Wednesday that made her think Steve Bannon might soon be indicted.

Barrack was the chair of Donald Trump's 2017 inauguration committee, which increased scrutiny of him and his business practices. He is charged with illegally lobbying former President Donald Trump on behalf of the United Arab Emirates without registering as a foreign agent. Barrack has pleaded not guilty and the trial is set to begin in Sept. 2022. The indictment doesn't only name him, however, his associates Matthew Grimes is also named and a third defendant, a UAE national, remains at large.

'I can't take anymore BS': The View debates why Republicans love Putin more than Democrats

Actor Sean Penn appeared Tuesday evening on Sean Hannity's show on Fox News to talk about the situation in Ukraine, leading the co-hosts of "The View" to ask why he would appear on a network known for spreading pro-Russian propaganda about the war.

As the hosts noted, Hannity has even elevated Russian President Vladimir Putin's talking points, leading to national security correspondent Jennifer Griffin schooling the Fox News host.

Emails indicate Ron DeSantis lied about a school changing a child’s gender without parental consent

The so-called "Don't Say Gay" bill was signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) last month and at the press conference he told a story about a little girl the school decided should change gender.

"We had a mother from Leon County, and her daughter was going to school and some people in the school had decided that the daughter was really a boy and not a girl," DeSantis told the press on Tuesday. "So they changed the girl's name to a boy's name, had her dress like a boy and on doing all this stuff, without telling the mother or getting consent from the mother. First of all, they shouldn't be doing that at all. But to do these things behind the parents' back and to say that the parents should be shut out. That is wrong."

Fake Trump elector ousted from local Wisconsin office after attacking 2020 election

A woman who was among a group of fake electors who sought to overturn the 2020 results was defeated in a Tuesday election in Wisconsin.

Kelly Ruh was one of several Republican candidates across the country running for local office on a platform that the 2020 election was stolen and that Joe Biden is not the elected president. Her problem is that she was running for reelection in her alderperson position in the city of De Pere.

Lindsey Graham gets taken to task by a columnist for flip-flopping all over the place

If there's one thing that is predictable about Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), it's his willingness to avail himself of political humiliation, Los Angeles Times columnist LZ Granderson explained.

In a column, Granderson cited the confirmation of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, which is expected to be finalized this week, no thanks to Graham, who was previously willing to support her. Graham ranted in the Senate Judiciary Committee about a list of grievances, but all of those issues existed the last time he voted to confirm Jackson to the Appeals Court.

What’s really going on in Alaska politics — that doesn’t involve Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin may have quit her job as Alaska's governor, but now she's running for Congress along with 40 other candidates. While Palin is going to test the endorsement of Donald Trump, that's not the most interesting thing about politics in the state this year, as the Washington Post's Amber Phillips explained.

Trump is also about to be tested when it comes to his ongoing war with Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), who is up for reelection in November. The state's GOP is already abandoning Murkowski, endorsing her opponent.

'She's an idiot!' View hosts don’t hold back after Stephanie Grisham says conservatives hate being called dumb

The co-hosts of "The View" brought Stephanie Grisham back to sit in during hot topics this week, but sparks started flying when she talked about how angry the right-wing gets when they're shown to be "dumb."

The conversation was about how the right has started using the word "pedophile" to insult anyone they don't like. Before, the right would scream "socialist," but the new accusation is that Democrats are enabling abusers. Such was the case when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) attacked Sens. Susan Collins (R-ME), Mitt Romney (R-UT) and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) by claiming that they intended to vote to approve Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson. The conversation then evolved into illogical things Donald Trump's supporters say on camera.

Senator explains how the GOP swamp 'delivered talking points' to Republicans against Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson

The third Republican Senator announced Monday that they'd be supporting Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson in the approval vote at the U.S. Supreme Court. But that wasn't what MSNBC host Lawrence O'Donnell wanted to talk about during his hour. He connected the dots for the groups and right-wing people who manufactured things they could use against her.

O'Donnell explained that the only Republican to support Judge Jackson when she was up for a vote the last time, is Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC). Graham supported her then but doesn't support her now. Nothing has changed in her record. The issues he cited were all there the last time, but he didn't care about it then.

University of Kansas wins NCAA mens basketball National Championship with largest comeback in history

By Chris Rosvoglou For the first time since 2008, the Kansas Jayhawks are national championships. On Monday night, they erased a 15-point halftime deficit to defat the North Carolina Tar Heels. Kansas’ top playmakers all stepped up in the second half, especially Remy Martin and David McCormack. They made some key shots for the Jayhawks down the stretch. North Carolina had a couple of great looks from beyond the arc to tie the game in the closing seconds, but Hubert Davis’ squad was unable to convert when it truly needed a basket. At the end of the day, Kansas managed to survive by a final scor...

Congressman mocks Lauren Boebert for her attempted attack on Disney after misspelling Mickey Mouse

Many Republicans triggered by Disney's support of LGBTQ equality have decided that Congress should kill trademarks for the mega-conglomerate.

Oddly, liberals are just as furious at Disney World for their political action committee donations to Florida Republicans who pushed the so-called "Don't Say Gay" law.
