‘If so I am Elvis Presley’: Marjorie Taylor Greene slammed for calling Biden ‘a socialist’

U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is steering away from the Holocaust, at least so far this week, but out of nowhere and for no discernible reason Tuesday night she laid into "Socialist" President Joe Biden.

It did not go well for her.

Why 'smarmy' Republicans who want Trump to recede from politics won't abandon his worst ideas

Although a minority of Republicans in Congress openly express their disdain for former President Donald Trump — including Rep. Adam Kinzinger of Illinois and Sen. Mitt Romney of Utah — the others range from Republicans who flat-out adore Trump (Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia) to those who wish Trump would simply go away but are afraid to say so publicly. And in a scathing article for The New Republic, journalist Alex Shephard stresses that wanting Trump to go away doesn't mean rejecting his worst ideas.

"When Republicans say they want Trump to recede into the background," Shephard writes, "it's only for the basest political reasons: His very presence engenders a furious countermobilization from Democrats, which must be avoided at all costs if the party wants to win. But the rest of it — the xenophobia, the authoritarianism, the endless culture war, the attacks on voting rights — is here to stay."

Trumpism has destroyed the GOP's next generation of leaders: report

In a column for the New York Times, political analyst Charlotte Alter claimed that the Republican Party's stable of rising political stars -- and hence the future of the party -- has been all but decimated during Donald Trump's four years in office as the party grows older and refuses to change with the times.

According to Alter, the GOP's future once looked brighter as younger lawmakers including Reps. Mia Love (R-UT), Carlos Curbelo (R-FL) and Elise Stefanik (R-NY) made their marks and gave the party of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) fresh new faces that could appeal to younger voters.

Steve Schmidt unleashes hell on the 'Fox News Sewer' for ramping up fake outrage at Kamala Harris

Former Republican campaign strategist Steve Schmidt went on a massive tweetstorm on Sunday, attacking what he called the "Fox News Sewer" for coordinating a smear campaign against Vice President Kamala Harris over a harmless Memorial Day tweet about the holiday weekend.

On Sunday morning, a Fox News host became absolutely unglued over one tweet by Harris -- one of several the vice president posted -- and the right-wing pile-on began with regular Twitter outrage-instigators, Reps. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) also jumping on the bandwagon.

Fox News host whitewashes Marjorie Taylor Greene's 'little' anti-Semitic remarks

Fox News host Howard Kurtz on Sunday seemed to excuse anti-Semitic remarks made by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and instead blamed the media for "encouraging" her.

"The media are pounding Marjorie Taylor Greene once again and the Georgia congresswoman is giving them plenty of ammunition," Kurtz said. "Here's the media question. Are journalists encouraging Marjorie Taylor Greene by giving so much coverage to remarks that even some top Republicans find to be outrageous -- and that's how she gets attention?"

The GOP is a 'dying party' filled with 'old white men and old white women': former Republican lawmaker

Appearing on MSNBC on Sunday morning, former Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL) claimed Americans are watching his former party wither away, in part because it is wholly populated by old white people who are part of Donald Trump's "cult."

During a discussion on having his radio show canceled because he refuses to "kiss Trump's ring," the ex-lawmaker said it looks to him like the Republican Party is slowly dying and can't be saved.

Gaetz-Greene 2024? Don't blink

Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., the embattled conservative firebrand who is the subject of a thus-far-inconclusive Justice Department investigation into an alleged pattern of sexual misconduct that may include statutory rape, says he's eyeing a presidential bid in 2024 — but only if Donald Trump decides not to run.

"I support Donald Trump for president. I've directly encouraged him to run and he gives me every indication he will," Gaetz wrote in a Thursday text message to the New York Post. "If Trump doesn't run, I'm sure I could defeat whatever remains of Joe Biden by 2024."

CNN's Jim Acosta expertly destroys 'Matt Gaetz and his partner in slime Marjorie Taylor Greene'

CNN's Jim Acosta wondered what the Greatest Generation would think of today's Republican Party on Saturday.

"This week, the U.S. hit an important milestone: half of the adult population in this country is now fully vaccinated against COVID-19," Acosta noted. "Yes, we are beating the virus, but on this Memorial Day weekend, the country is far from healthy. Throughout the pandemic we've suffered from a serious case of herd stupidity as the far-right waged a war against science and in some cases against the scientists..."

WATCH: Disgusted Marjorie Taylor Greene voter calls her 'ineffective' and vows to never vote for her again

On CNN, reporter Martin Savidge traveled to Rome, Georgia — one of the main communities represented by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and asked voters about her comments comparing mask requirements to the Holocaust.

While some voters in the heavily Republican district stood by her, at least some appeared to have been sufficiently disgusted to be turned off her for good — including local voter Wayne White, who backed her in 2020.

‘Repulsive’: Tennessee shop under fire for selling wearable yellow Stars of David that say ‘not vaccinated’

A Nashville, Tennessee store is under fire after promoting its latest product, wearable yellow Stars of David, mimicking the Nazi symbol Jews were forced to wear. It reads: not vaccinated. Just days ago Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), said having to wear a mask during the pandemic was "exactly" like the Holocaust.

The company, which spells its name "hatWRKS," posted an image of the item on Instagram, saying, "patches are here!! they turned out great. $5ea. string adhesive back .... we'll be offering trucker caps soon."

‘Conservative cannot equal crazy’: Denver Riggleman calls for ouster of Gaetz, Marjorie Taylor Greene

In a post to Twitter this Friday, former Virginia GOP Rep. Denver Riggleman called for the ouster of Marjorie Taylor Greene and Matt Gaetz from Congress, saying he was fed up with the "ridiculous and hyperbolic bullsh*t" coming from the pro-Trump lawmakers.

"I've been outspoken about how conspiracy theories and bizarre beliefs can take over people's lives, and we saw that on [Jan. 6], we saw a lengthy radicalization of individuals that led to the storming of the Capitol," Riggleman said. "I'm tired of it."

‘Clear call to violence’: Experts slam Matt Gaetz for ‘inciting another insurrection’

U.S. Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) says Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) is "urging people to shoot Silicon Valley employees." Congressman Lieu is not alone. Others, including experts, are delivering similar criticism and warnings after Gaetz on Thursday delivered disturbing remarks calling for Americans to fulfill their constitutional "obligation" to "use" the Second Amendment.

“The internet's hall monitors out in Silicon Valley, they think they can suppress us, discourage us — maybe if you're just a little less patriotic, maybe if you just conform to their way of thinking a little more, you'll be allowed to participate in the digital world," Gaetz said at a Thursday rally with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).
