Conservative Alice Stewart humiliated after trying to tell a Catholic how Catholicism works

Conservative Alice Stewart and Democrat Maria Cardona got into it over some Catholic bishops weaponizing communion. In the past, bishops have tried to threaten President Joe Biden because he doesn't believe in legislating abortion. Last week, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was also threatened because she too doesn't want the government to dictate individuals' lives.

Speaking about the issue, Stewart attempted to cite Catholic tenets cited by San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone in his press release attacking Pelosi.

George Conway: Ginni Thomas 'was always a little out there' — but now the GOP has come along with her

Speaking to CNN's Jim Acosta on Sunday, lawyer George Conway lambasted the corruption in the Supreme Court as "out there" Ginni Thomas dictates orders to Republicans in states around the country.

"I have to ask you about this," Acosta began. "You mentioned the judiciary. There's the judiciary in this country, the Washington Post obtained emails that show Ginni Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, pressing Arizona lawmakers to overturn [Joe] Biden's win in the 2020 election. She wrote in part, 'Please reflect on the awesome authority granted you and ensure a clean slate of electors is chosen for our state. I wish to request a meeting from you to learn more about what you are doing to ensure our vote count is audited and our certification is clean.' I love the use of the word clean there. It's anything but."

How the Republican Party's deal with Trump is leading to chaos in Georgia GOP elections

As the Republican Primary in Georgia approaches, it's clear that former Sen. David Perdue (R-GA) doesn't appear to be doing well. His poll numbers are in the gutter, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution revealed. The former senator lost after the 2020 election led to a Trump-supporter boycott of the Jan. 2021 runoff. He along with his GOP colleague Kelly Loeffler lost their jobs.

Former President Donald Trump has gotten involved as Gov. Brian Kemp (R-GA) tries to get reelected in November. As Vanity Fair explained, the revenge plan isn't working out the way he thought. After Kemp refused to hand the 2020 election to Trump, the stage was set for a rematch between what Trump viewed as a traitor and a hand-picked Trump ally.

The scandal isn't that McCarthy was lying — it’s that he can’t serve in GOP leadership if he doesn't lie: Adam Schiff

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) noted that his Republican colleague appears to be stuck in a world where if he doesn't submit to GOP overlords like former President Donald Trump, he'll lose whatever power he has in the House leadership.

After fighting to become the House Speaker for a decade, Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) was recorded lying to his caucus after the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. When it was written about and McCarthy was quoted, he claimed that the reporters were lying about him. The reporters published the recording of him saying it, however.

New Biden administration plan aims to 'destroy Russia's central role in the global energy economy'

President Joe Biden is working on a plan to go after Russian oil and further cripple the country's economy, the New York Times reported Thursday. One major problem, however, is that the steps could anger India, China, Turkey and other nations that do continue to buy Russian oil.

The plan would issue secondary sanctions that push international oil buyers to comply with U.S. sanctions on Russia as they continue their invasion of Ukraine. Vladimir Putin's war against Ukraine has resulted in Russia losing nearly $20 billion each month that the oil continues from oil sales alone, the report said. The next steps are how to "starve Moscow of that money while ensuring that global oil supplies do not drop, which could lead to a rise in prices that benefits Mr. Putin and worsens inflation in the United States and elsewhere."
