Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY), a key Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, demolished Republican lies about President Joe Biden's involvement in Ukraine with CNN's Anderson Cooper on Wednesday, following a controversial hearing in which Republicans tried to baselessly allege FBI involvement in Twitter's erroneous decision to suppress a New York Post story about emails on Hunter Biden's laptop in 2020.

That laptop story was used by Republicans to bolster the theory that Biden and his son were financially profiting off dealings in Ukraine, particularly involving a company known as Burisma, and that Biden, as vice president in the Obama administration, forced the resignation of that country's prosecutor-general to prevent those ties from being investigated — which, as Goldman noted in the hearing early in the day, has been debunked repeatedly.

Many big-name Republican donors and fundraisers are once again maneuvering behind the scenes to stop former President Donald Trump from winning the 2024 nomination -- and this time they apparently mean it.

In an interview with Politico, Republican fundraiser Eric Levine didn't mince any words when describing his feelings about Trump's impact on the GOP.

President Joe Biden is traveling the country after his State of the Union Address to promote the policy initiatives in his speech, including upholding Social Security and Medicare.

During the speech, Biden tricked Republicans into booing over his allegations that members of their party want to kill the beloved programs. During the last election, Sen. It was a proposal that was quickly shot down by Senate Minority Mitch McConnell (R-KY).

Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders' response to President Joe Biden's State of the Union Address was roundly slammed by Austin Bailey in an editorial for the Arkansas Times published on Wednesday.

"Ted Cruz and Marjorie Taylor Greene might not have liked it much, but President Joe Biden exceeded expectations with his State of the Union address. Hecklers tried but failed to knock him off his game. His signature empathy infused the hour-plus speech, and at the end there was little doubt this 80-year-old man isn’t done yet," wrote Bailey. "As the celebratory afterparty rolled on in the U.S. House chamber, Gov. Sarah Sanders commandeered TV screens to darken the mood. Excerpts her office shared earlier in the day hinted Sanders’ speech would include her standard snarling about wokeness and the radical left. No surprises there."

Former Democratic strategist and infamous southerner James Carville bashed Republicans for their behavior during the State of the Union Address on Tuesday, calling them "white trash."

"Well, you know, I told people I have a PhD in white trashology, you saw real white trash on display," said Carville, speaking to MSNBC's Ari Melber. "Let me say something about congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), she dresses like white trash. She really needs a fashion consultant. I recommend George Santos. He could do a good job of dressing up where she doesn't announce her white trashdom by her own clothes."

Former Rep. David Jolly (R-FL) asked former Donald Trump lawyer Michael Cohen about a comment he made about the "real weaponization" that happened under the Justice Department when Attorney General Bill Barr was in charge.

Republicans have started their own House committee against the "weaponization of the federal government" alleging that under Joe Biden the Justice Department has gone after Republicans.

During a House committee hearing this Wednesday on the subject of Twitter's response to the Hunter Biden laptop story, Rep. Gary Palmer (R-AL) accused Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) of making a "very troubling statement claiming that as vice president, Joe Biden fired the attorney general of Ukraine."

"Since he had knowledge of this prior to becoming a member of Congress, Mr. Goldman should provide to the committee documentation about this action. We should know who authorized President Biden to take this action against the Ukrainian attorney general, we need to know was there an investigation to justify the firing ... and if yes, who conducted it."

While Twitter was the preferred social media platform for former President Donald Trump, the entire Republican party's discontent with Twitter posts was tracked in a database Twitter kept of GOP requests to remove posts, according to a new Rolling Stone report.

The discovery of this detailed list is contrary to the partisan point-of-view that new Twitter owner Elon Musk has been sharing, as he has strategically been dialed-in on communicating Twitter post removal and content challenges from Democrats. At no time has Musk revealed the listing of GOP post removal requests.

During a House Oversight Committee hearing this Wednesday over Twitter's content moderation policies, Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA) accused a panel of former Twitter executives of allowing the FBI to help Joe Biden by suppressing "criminal evidence being revealed" via a story about Hunter Biden's laptop.

Higgins accused the panel of allowing the FBI to suppress the story one month before the 2020 election.
