Former White House communications director Alyssa Farah Griffin thinks that there are far more witnesses being subjected to Donald Trump's intimidation than the members are aware of.

At the close of the Tuesday afternoon hearing, Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) revealed that another witness that the public had not seen got a phone call from the former president. From what the officials have said about the call, the person didn't answer the phone and all that is known is that the call was made. Had the person answered the call the witness could have testified to what was said. Without answering, however, there's little that can be done, legal experts explained.

A white artist called police on a Black teenager for recording video of their work at a Michigan art fair.

Nicholas Gunn, 18, was covering the Krasl Art Fair for the Benton Spirit Community Paper when an artist named Chris Gug complained the teen was "stealing" his copyrighted work with his video camera, and he demanded the journalist seek permission from organizers before returning, reported WSBT-TV.

The main focus of the hearing came from testimony provided by former White House Counsel Pat Cipollone, and Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) revealed that it was clear White House lawyers, known as "team normal," worked for hours to systematically debunk Trump's conspiracy theories about the 2020 election.

The co-hosts of "The View" were somewhat dumbstruck after watching a video of Republican senate candidate Herschel Walker claiming pollution has to move over from China to the United States and that China somehow steals America's "good air." Walker's point appeared to be a rationale for why the United States shouldn't fight for clean air and clean water because other places don't have clean air and clean water.

"I can't even do it," Whoopi Goldberg said, laughing and fumbling her words. "Okay, I'll do it straight."

On Tuesday at 1 p.m. EST, the House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on Congress and attempt to overthrow the 2020 election will hold their seventh public hearing. The presentation will focus on right-wing extremists and militias that mobilized around former President Donald Trump.

Speaking to CNN ahead of the hearing, former ethics czar and impeachment lawyer Norm Eisen explained that the Dec. 18, 2020 meeting at the White House was a key point in the investigation that the committee will discuss. One of the points the committee has discussed is Trump's inaction on Jan. 6. For hours, Trump refused to do anything. It was Vice President Mike Pence who ultimately was able to get the Pentagon to move soldiers to the Capitol. Meanwhile, the mayor was begging for help from governors in Maryland and Virginia. D.C. isn't a state, so the ability to move National Guard soldiers isn't an option.

The Jan. 6 committee will focus on a decision made late at night in the White House that spurred the violence that erupted at the U.S. Capitol.

It's not clear who made the decision for Donald Trump to tweet out an invitation to his supporters to go "wild" in Washington, D.C., on the day Congress met to certify Joe Biden's election win, but The Guardian reporter Hugo Lowell told MSNBC's "Morning Joe" that investigators intend to show that post set the insurrection into motion.

A reporter who has closely covered the Jan. 6 investigation said Steve Bannon has few legal options remaining after a judge smashed his defense.

U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols denied Bannon's request to delay his trial on contempt of Congress charges after Donald Trump abandoned his executive privilege claims, and The Guardian reporter Hugo Lowell told MSNBC's "Morning Joe" the right-wing podcaster faced intense new pressure to plead guilty.

MSNBC's Joe Scarborough said Republicans were costing themselves a shot at retaking the U.S. Senate by nominating poor-quality candidates.

The "Morning Joe" host blamed Donald Trump for costing his party the Senate majority with his 2020 election conspiracy theories, and he might thwart Mitch McConnell's ambitions again by backing a string of underqualified loyalists in GOP primaries.

Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, along with other Justices, have faced protests outside of their home from those furious over the right to privacy and abortion being taken away.

Outside of Morton's steakhouse, which is owned by Tilman Fertitta, who Donald Trump once called "a friend," protesters gathered while Kavanaugh was having dinner. They never came inside the restaurant nor did Kavanaugh ever hear them or face them.

Two gay men say that they were attacked by someone who was "infuriated by my existence," resulting in his face being slashed.

ABC7 in New York showed the stitches that Harmony Vuitton has over the right side of his face. He and his friend Eric Ortiz were standing outside of a smoke shop when two other men began harassing them.

"They were like, look at this ***** ****** and homophobic slurs such as that," Vuitton said.
