On Wednesday, during an appearance on a live call-in show on UCTV, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) was sharply chastised by one caller, who called her an "embarrassment."

"I just want to say thank God for Joe Biden," said the caller. "She is an embarrassment to the state of Georgia." As The Independent noted, "The criticism caused the Republican to tilt her head and purse her lips and force a smile in front of the camera."

Forbes has reviewed campaign finance disclosures from former President Donald Trump and discovered that he apparently had far less cash in his final year of office than he claimed.

According to the documents, the self-described billionaire only had about $93 million in cash during the final year. They were part of the information released by New York Attorney General Letitia James as part of her civil probe into the Trump Organization.

Holly McCormack, who's challenging Greene for her congressional seat, said she and some other constituents were kicked out of the event Tuesday in Catoosa County, reported Newsweek.

Four Republicans are primarying the far-right freshman lawmaker, one of those five will go on to face the Democratic challenger.

But Congressman Cawthorn is facing an even great challenge, and he's taking it seriously.

If an effort to disqualify Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) from the ballot is successful, it could lead to similar challenges against other lawmakers accused of fueling the Capitol insurrection — including former president Donald Trump.

The case against Cawthorn — who cheered on the Jan. 6 rioters — seeks to force him to prove that he's not an insurrectionist based on a little-known section of the 14th Amendment that was adopted to punish members of the Confederacy after they reclaimed their elected offices in Washington.

Two weeks ago it was reported that his former girlfriend was granted immunity before testifying before a Florida grand jury which led former U.S. Attorney Joyce Vance to caution, "It's never a good sign for the target when a key witness gets immunity to testify in front of the grand jury."

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) unleashed an angry rant on Monday about the possibility that he will be indicted in a sex-trafficking investigation that has ensnared at least one of his associates.

Without being prompted, Gaetz complained about the investigation during an appearance on Steve Bannon's War Room: Pandemic podcast.

Kennedy specifically cited Anne Frank, the teenage girl who penned a diary about her experience hiding through the occupation. She was ultimately captured and sent to a concentration camp where she died. In the final year of her life, close friends Hanneli Goslar and Nanette Blitz, who survived the war, told authors of a Frank book that she was "bald, emaciated, and shivering." She is thought to have died from typhoid fever.

On Friday, CNN reported that House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has lost his patience with Republican House members demanding he appease them in return for electing him speaker down the line — and issued a threat to these members in a December meeting.

"The House Republican leader cast off his typically sunny demeanor during a December 8 meeting of the GOP conference to deliver a stern warning to his most raucous members: Quit trying to hold your vote for speaker over my head," reported Michael Warren and Melanie Zanona. "'He said, 'If any of you come to me and tell me that you're not going to vote for me unless I do something, I'm going to do exactly the opposite, even if I agree with you,'' said Rep. Tom Cole of Oklahoma, who was there at the time. A second Republican member told CNN McCarthy punctuated his threat with, 'I mean it.'"

On Thursday, in a highly unusual move, the Arizona Democratic Party publicly condemned their own senator in a press release, sharply criticizing Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) for her vote against reforming Senate rules to pass a pair of voting rights bills.

"Unfortunately, the US Senate failed to protect our democracy that is under attack by Republicans across the country," said ADP Chair Raquel Terán. “This should not be a partisan issue — the duty to protect our most fundamental right to vote is one that we all share. Despite last night’s outcome, our fight to protect the rights of Arizonans by passing the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act continues."

On Thursday, as President Joe Biden was leaving a press event, Fox News White House Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich appeared to ask him why he wasn't preemptively attacking Russia in the standoff over Ukraine.

"Why are you waiting on Putin to make the first move, sir?" she asked.
