It was just three weeks ago that U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene apologized to the nation for her Holocaust references, claiming after visiting the Holocaust Museum, “I have made a mistake...the Holocaust is – there's nothing comparable to it."

"There are words that I have said and remarks that I have made that I know are offensive," she said June 14 (photo), to fend off a censure resolution, which Rep. Bradley Schneider (D-IL) decided to not file after her apology.

After causing a national uproar for repeatedly comparing businesses and government agencies who screen people's vaccination status to Nazis forcing Jews to wear the yellow Star of David, infamous pro-QAnon Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) privately took a tour of the U.S. Holocaust Museum and delivered an apology, saying there is "nothing comparable" to the evils of the Holocaust and vowing not to make such comparisons again.

Her pledge lasted less than a month.

In an Independence Holiday Monday evening rant Georgia Republican QAnon Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, an antisemitic, conspiracy-theory promoting, anti-vaxxer, anti-masker, anti-science, anti-LGBTQ, "Big Lie" pusher and white supremacy-purveyor served up a lengthy diatribe in which she claimed to speak for the American people in "a message from America to the Swamp."

Green kicks off her rant by attacking the mainstream media, including Fox News, saying, "People have stopped watching the news [because] they are sick & tired of the fake news media, including Fox News. People feel like the mainstream media is the most destructive dividing force in our country. They know the media only reports what they want you to see. It's sad."

While Americans were celebrating the birth of the nation, Republicans were getting hacked on the new pro-Donald Trump social media site GETTR.

According to The Wrap, Mike Pompeo and Marjorie Taylor Greene were among those who were hacked by people posting pro-Palestine messages and phrases.

Rep. Adam Kinzinger, a 43-year-old Air Force veteran, always assumed that there would be a "career-ending" vote he would have to take. But according to a New York Times profile, Kinzinger assumed it would be about Social Security instead. After the attack on the U.S Capitol Jan. 6, it became clear what he would have to do.

"I made the decision early in my career that I would be willing to take a potentially career-ending vote," he told the Times. "But I thought that vote would be for something like a Social Security reform bill. I never thought it would be for defending democracy."

Congressional Republicans were harshly criticized on Saturday for participating in a cover-up of Donald Trump's insurrection.

MSNBC anchor Ali Velshi warned the public about the GOP cover-up in a thread posted to Twitter.

On Thursday, writing for The Daily Beast, reporter Zoe Richards documented all the times that House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has refused to pursue misconduct within his own caucus.

Among the things McCarthy ignored, Richards noted: the federal sex trafficking investigation into Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL); Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) endorsing execution of Democrats and comparing mask mandates to the Holocaust; Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA) comparing the Capitol riot to a "normal tourist visit"; Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) hosting a fundraiser with a white nationalist; Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) attending a QAnon conference where former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn advocated overthrowing the government; and multiple GOP members planning a white supremacist caucus and fomenting the Capitol insurrection.

Marjorie Taylor Greene is playing the victim in response to a letter from Democrats calling on House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA) to rein in the extremist Georgia Republican, saying her recent actions "could lead to violence against members of Congress."

Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) is reportedly threatening Republicans who join House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's new select committee on the January 6th Capitol riots -- even as he's given other lawmakers passes despite being featured speakers at white nationalist conferences.

Specifically, CNN's Jamie Gangel is reporting that McCarthy is threatening "to strip any GOP member of their committee assignments if they accept an offer from Pelosi to serve on 1/6 commission," despite the fact that he has opposed stripping members of committee assignments despite vastly worse transgressions.
