Kevin McCarthy endorses Liz Cheney's Trump-loving primary challenger

On Thursday, the right-wing outlet The Federalist reported that House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) is officially endorsing Harriet Hageman, the primary opponent of Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) — an incredibly unusual move, as Republican congressional leaders almost never endorse primary challenges to colleagues in their own caucus. This comes after former President Donald Trump also endorsed Hageman over Cheney last year.

Responding to the news, a spokesman for Cheney remarked that Hageman must be "desperate" to pull out such an endorsement at this stage.

Marjorie Taylor Greene accuses former CIA officer of never holding a real job -- and gets put in her place

On Monday, responding to a claim from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) that the government should be shut down and Republicans who vote to keep it open have not "reflected the American people," Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA) punched back, calling her position "outrageous" and highlighting how damaging such a move would be to military families by denying their paychecks.

Greene was quick to punch back, attacking Spanberger — who previously worked for the Central Intelligence Agency — for spending her career in the public sector, and implying this means she hasn't held a real job before.

Marjorie Taylor Greene says she doesn’t believe in Reagan's  Commandment because she's 'a real Christian'

Former President Ronald Reagan was the standard-bearer for the Republican Party for a generation, but in the new GOP, he's just another RINO. That's according to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), who attacked Reagan's notorious 11th Commandment.

During his 1966 gubernatorial campaign, Reagan explained that no matter the issue or disagreement, "Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican." Greene and the rest of the House GOP have changed that rule.

'An embarrassment': GOP buried for turning 'QAnon queen' Marjorie Taylor Greene into their 'superstar'

In his column for the Daily Beast, conservative Matt Lewis deplored the state of the Republican Party that is allowing Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) to become the face of the party, calling it an "embarrassment."

Noting that a recent report indicated that the endorsement of the controversial lawmaker -- who the conservative called the "QAnon queen" -- appears to carry more weight than one from former president Donald Trump, Lewis suggested the GOP has a big problem. Pointing out that there are encouraging signs that "Trump’s cult-like hold on the Republican electorate may be eroding," Lewis noted that Taylor Greene may be filling the gap.

Marjorie Taylor Greene invokes Trump’s ‘covfefe’ in defense of ‘Gazpacho Police’

Earlier this week, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) attracted national attention after claiming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was using the "Gazpacho Police" to spy on Republican members of Congress — confusing Gestapo, the name for the Nazi secret police, with gazpacho, a traditional Spanish cold tomato soup with blended raw vegetables.

After days of mockery in the media, Greene finally addressed the issue, using the moment to baselessly accuse President Joe Biden of cognitive decline — and linking her behavior back to the infamous episode where former President Donald Trump tweeted the gibberish word "covfefe" in a rant attacking the media.
