The co-hosts of "The View" celebrated that Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) was agreeing to support something on the Democratic agenda.

Manchin and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) revealed the new reconciliation package would include a few of President Joe Biden's policy initiatives. Manchin's previous opposition had essentially killed Biden's ambitious plans, because in the 50-50 Senate, where Republicans rarely back Biden on anything, Democrats can't afford to lose a single vote.

"The View's" Whoopi Goldberg attacked all of those who attended the conference of the far-right group Turning Point USA as Nazis this week, but on Thursday apologized for lumping them all in together.

While Sara Haines read an apology on Wednesday, Goldberg addressed the controversy for the first time on Thursday. Turning Point USA had been hammering Goldberg for remaining silent.

The co-hosts of "The View" unleashed on Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) who spoke out on the floor of the House that the bill codifying marriage equality was unnecessary.

Jordan spoke out against the bill saying that Democrats were trying to distract from inflation with issues like gay marriage. Rep. Mark Pocan (D-WI) shot back that the reason laws like that are necessary is that same-sex married couples need the same rights as straight couples. He specifically cited the problem that an LGBTQ spouse can't make decisions for their partner when they're in the hospital without being married.

The co-hosts of "The View" may come from different political persuasions but there's one thing they agree on and that's the Republican Party has gone far outside the scope of the rights and freedoms of individuals with their attempt to ban abortions.

Among those joining the show as guest co-hosts were Chelsea Clinton and former Donald Trump White House communications director Alyssa Farah Griffin.

"The View" addressed the women that worked for former President Donald Trump and the threats they've faced after coming forward about what they witnessed to the House Select Committee investigating the attack on Congress. But part of the conversation focused on the men in the Republican Party and in Trump world who are too scared to either come forward or are ingratiating themselves to the former president.

The group talked about threats against women in public and the sexualized nature of the attacks.

The co-hosts of "The View" were somewhat dumbstruck after watching a video of Republican senate candidate Herschel Walker claiming pollution has to move over from China to the United States and that China somehow steals America's "good air." Walker's point appeared to be a rationale for why the United States shouldn't fight for clean air and clean water because other places don't have clean air and clean water.

"I can't even do it," Whoopi Goldberg said, laughing and fumbling her words. "Okay, I'll do it straight."

Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, along with other Justices, have faced protests outside of their home from those furious over the right to privacy and abortion being taken away.

Outside of Morton's steakhouse, which is owned by Tilman Fertitta, who Donald Trump once called "a friend," protesters gathered while Kavanaugh was having dinner. They never came inside the restaurant nor did Kavanaugh ever hear them or face them.

The co-hosts of "The View" are in The Bahamas for a working vacation and they're debating what the next steps should be as the Democrats continue to fight to preserve women's privacy and freedoms.

Whoopi Goldberg said that she's ready to expand the court because the one tradition of the Supreme Court is that it is in balance and serves as the point of reason for the country. That's no longer the case, she argued, saying that it has been thrown completely out of balance.

"The View's" Sunny Hostin is fearful that the bill the U.S. Senators agreed on to better regulate guns will be challenged in court after the U.S. Supreme Court voted down a New York law that has been in place for over 100 years.

The way that the decision was written by Justice Clarence Thomas led Hostin to believe that it ultimately expands the Second Amendment and will eliminate regulations across the country.

The co-hosts of "The View" began their Wednesday show by discussing the shocking testimony revealed by witnesses in the fourth public hearing of the House Select Committee on Tuesday.

The hosts first couldn't quite understand how Arizona House Speaker Rusty Bowers, a Republican, spoke so eloquently about his duty to the Constitution and to his state, and the horrors he and his family have faced from Trump supporters, but he'd still be willing to support the ex-president again.

Over the weekend, the Texas Republican Party announced its party platform that detailed the beliefs and ideas of the GOP. "The View" host Sunny Hostin said Tuesday that she appreciated it because up until this point the Republican Party has only been voting against things, they haven't explicitly said what they're for.

One of those things is secession from the United States. Co-host Whoopi Goldberg warned that if they decided to break away from the U.S. that they should be prepared for us to build a wall to keep them out.

The wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is continuing to be exposed for her pro-Trump activism, but a recent report revealed that she was once part of a cult. After being "deprogrammed," as she described, Thomas became an advocate against such groups.

Associates of Mrs. Thomas are concerned, however, that in the past few years, she has been sucked in once more after she's been linked to QAnon, which some are also describing as a kind of right-wing cult.

The women of "The View" railed against Republicans on Wednesday who have been unwilling to do anything on gun safety laws.

Co-host Sunny Hostin asked conservative guest host Lindsey Granger why Republicans are unwilling to take steps on gun safety laws that enjoy the support of the overwhelming majority of Americans, such as universal background checks.
